This was my first car, a VL V8 Holden Calais Wagon. One of less than 50 from the factory it was rebuilt with a lumpy cam, high compression pistons, and L34 heads, but was other wise fairly standard, even down to the horrible trimatic auto. I had big plans for this car and spent a lot of money on it on repairs to bring it up to scratch (and to feed it!). Unfortunately I was run up the back of at about 60km/hr while stopped at an intersection with nowhere to go. The car was a writeoff with thassis badly twisted. I sold it as I needed another car quickly for work. I miss it :-(
