How it went down:

Oct. 3, 2006: Car was purchased

Oct. 11, 2006: Rockford Fosgate T142C's installed in drivers and passenger side door. Throttle cable adjusted (car was idling low)

Oct. 13, 2006: Rear windshield replaced. Received title.

Oct. 14, 2006: Car was registered at Richmond DMV.

Oct. 16, 2006: Car was taken to shop to get injectors replaced.

Oct. 17, 2006: Car's injectors were replaced, Problem persists. Deemed that injectors were not the cause (obviously...)

Oct. 27, 2006: Somewhere between the 17th and now, The engine compression was checked, the spark plugs were replaced, a pair of the new injectors that were bad were replaced with a pair of the old ones that were good, and the spark plug wires were replaced. Car finally runs and I have driven it for the first time. Oh yes and my license plates came, but I don't have bolts for them.

Oct. 29, 2006: Rockford Fosgate T142C's installed in the trunk area speaker pockets. Kenwood EZ500 head unit installed.

Nov. 16, 2006: Since Oct. 27, the clutch deteriorated rapidly and was deemed undrivable (because it WAS undrivable) about a week after I got it back. Today we had it towed to our mechanic for a new clutch.

Nov. 21, 2006: CDT Cl-1215's received.

Nov. 24, 2006: Received the car back with a new clutch. Worked excellently.

Nov. 26, 2006: Power steering suddenly no longer exists. No action has been taken.

Dec. 4, 2006: CDT subs were attempted to be installed. Ended up blowing some fuse somewhere. No power to head unit now.

Dec. 9, 2006: Audio problem was fixed by running a power wire directly from the battery to the power on the head unit, and a wire from the cigar lighter to the ignition wire. BEAUTIFUL sounding subs! I recommend CDT to anyone. Better than any Rockford Fosgate subs I've ever heard (and I'm a complete die-hard RF fan.)

Dec. 17, 2006: Engine knock begins. Becomes increasingly louder as day progresses.

Dec. 18, 2006: Engine knock embarrassingly loud. Car would not stay running as I drove it to my Supra Technician's place. Later found that my previous mechanic had bolted down the valve covers with stripped bolts, allowing oil to enter my blown head gasket and burn up with my gas in my cylinders. Lack of oil caused crank bearing no. 6 to burn out. Thus, the knock.

Jan. 15, 2007: Car returned with completely rebuilt head and replaced crank bearing. Slight knock still persists.

Jan. 20, 2007: Car returned to technician for complete engine rebuild.

March 15, 2007: Car returned, only to die after four days of driving.

March 25, 2007: Car towed to mechanic (different mechanic) for general inspection and correction. An incorrectly installed timing belt was deemed the culprit.

April 5, 2007: 1300 dollars and 3 power steering pumps later, car was received in the most perfect working condition that it ever has since it came into my possession (BUT the power steering was still crapped out). Lemme tell ya, it feels pretty good knowing that I can blow almost any other car around here off of the road.

April 6, 2007: Oil was changed. Normally I wouldn't make a separate entry for this, but the last person who changed the oil put the new filter on while the engine was out of the car, so they made it as tight as inhumanly possible. It took me the better part of three hours to get the filter off.

May 11, 2007: Installed diamond cut HID headlights with H4 Xenon bulbs.

June 2, 2007: Installed HID fog lights, to replace the crappy stock ones. The lights are wired to the fog light switch on the dash, but I rewired the system so that the headlights don't need to be on to make the fog lights come on. Now the fog lights also double as DTRLs. The removal of the stock fog lights was also beneficial to the cars intake system. The intake chamber is located directly behind and above the passengers side stock fog light, so by removing them, I allowed about 100 times more air to get to it.

July 10, 2007: Car was taken back to the place that charged me for the power steering pump so they could ACTUALLY fix it.

July 12, 2007: Car received back with working power steering. Woot!

July 17, 2007: A while ago, someone backed into the passenger side door of my car and left a big ol' dent, making the door unable to open more than like a foot. Car was taken in today for a quote. Total quoted cost: $1200. Good thing it's covered by (not my) insurance!!

August 4-15, 2007: Car was taken to body shop for repairs. Came back in a MUCH better state than what I left it. Apparently they clean, vacuum, wash and wax all of the cars that they work on. For free! So I got a free dent removal and a free "Ultimate" wash! I'd recommend "Connor Brothers Collision Centers" to anyone needing any kind of body work.

August 21, 2007: RSR-GTII 3" exhaust installed. A HUGE upgrade from the shoddy, beat up stocker I had. Pics on page 5.

September 7, 2007: Tail-lights stopped working a couple days ago, didn't have time to check it till now.
The Problem: Saavedro88's 1987 Toyota Supra
The Solution: Saavedro88's 1987 Toyota Supra
Simply bypassed the Light Failure Module (that chip looking thing that burned up). Now my dash light won't tell me when one of my bulbs is burned out but I've been living without that for a while; and my brake lights work which is the priority.

September 13, 2007: Happy birthday to me! You can see my birthday wheels on page 3.

December 11, 2007: Obviously it's been a while since I've updated... Sorry... But this was the day I blew my Headgasket... :-/
But as a blessing from God, I was driving around the very next day looking for a car and I found an 88 Civic for $500. Paid the guy cash and drove away.

February 26, 2008: Sold the car for $600. I never wanted to sell it but my financial situation has become such that it did not make sense to keep it. Bought an 86 RX-7 that runs for $400. Essentially, I traded my non running car, for a car that runs and $200.

I will miss her, and I plan on replacing her.

Hey I really like what you have going on so far. Keep up the good ideas. I plan to lower my car next week with a full set of H & R Springs...and yes the roof racks will be gone when I will be at the show lol. I am also new to this site and was wondering if u could drop by and check my car out and comment on what u think I should change. I'm also going to be entering into the Nopi Nationals down in Hampton, G.A. and I don't know if I have a good chance or not because this show is like one of the biggest car shows ever in the United States!!! Keep in touch! Again, sweet ride

The yellow fogs were already on there. They're really misaligned too, like at the sky lol. Then again, my headlights are set too low. If I'm ever in the area I'll be sure to let you know man, it's always cool to meet other Supra guys. Are you a member on Supramania?

I Haven't personally made it out there, but the guy I bought it from may have. It isn't all that fast now, one of the fastest cars around here but that's not too difficult where I live. Once I have some money to throw at it thing's will change though. I'm digging your Supra by the way, I don't know why, but I got a thing for white.
