Recently purchased (9/06) restoration project for me & my kids (Ian 14 & Tory 12). Our goal is to have it done before Ian's 16th birthday. We are debating on restoring it to all original condition, or making some minor modifications. This 1968 Barracuda is an all original #'s matching car. It has some rust issues in the front floorpans, lower quarters & lower fenders but the framerails, wheelwells & inner fenders are solid. Features include the Formula-S package with a 340-275 horse engine & 4 speed trans. Production date was Feb 23,1968. Options included: 3:23:1 sure grip 8&3/4 axle, E70x14 redline tires, tinted windows, sport stripes, performance indicator (vacuum gauge), rocker panel mouldings (gills), bucket seats with shoulder seat belts & exposed lugnut wheel covers. I have a nice set of the rare "dealer installed" mag style hubcaps that will be used instead.
---Update 9/20/07---
After much debate & thought we have decided on painting it BLACK with deluxe PEARL WHITE interior. Recent purchases include: 2 (New) quarter panels, 4 (New) floor pans, (New) rear Formula-S valance panel, (Used) header panel, (Used) front valance panel, (New) trunk chrome, (New) tailight bezels & lenses, (New) park lenses, (used) inner grills, (NOS) exhaust tips, (New) Year-One deluxe door panels & seat covers,(New) dash bezel & lenses, 4 (NOS) chrome armrest bases, 2 (New) non-remote rally mirrors, 4 (New) sidemarkers, (Used) 340-S hood ornaments--ours are pitted, (New) inside & outside door handles, (New) window cranks, 4 (New) P205/70R/14 BFG Redline radials & a (NOS) Barracuda trunk emblem. Much more to come!!

5 stars. Like the wheels. 1968 was an excellent year for cars and trucks. Please do not be a stranger and check out my 1968 Olds Toronados.

Nice Barracuda man! I like the blue color and the engine, especially since it has more power than mine, lol! Keep up the good work

Hey, John I have 68 Barracuda and I was wondering where you purchased the rear formula S valance. Buy the way hang on that formula S they are very hard to come buy. Yes the 340 is the champ among fast and quick engines. Mopars Rule

nice car like the original end of it to see a father take a project and make time for his family within the project get's a definite 5*'s . The Barracuda deserves to be restored to what it was.
