My lovely wife & I enjoy cars and racing, as you can see it is a perfect match...
One labor of love is our garage. We have put our blood/sweat/tears into making it what it is today. Everything was done by our two hands during long evenings and even longer weekends. When we moved down to Florida (Now living in Austin, TX) in December 2006, we spent about four months getting everything ordered, designing the layout, and putting it together. A few family members helped with a few nice finishing touches...
Our other labor of love is our Corvette. All through my younger years my family raced Corvettes and it has been a family tradition since I can remember. My wifes family also raced cars all throughout her life. After Highschool, I went into ROTC to pay for college. I wanted to buy a used Vette at that time, but times were tough and I could not swing it with all the costs of college and regular bills. Then I graduated in '99 and went into the ARMY as a 2LT. When I returned from my deployment from Iraq in 2003 as a CPT, I was bound to get/save up for my Corvette. When I started reading/seeing the new C6 coming out, I had to have one...
We finally did in early 2006!!!!!!
We have spent many long hours/days/nights working on our Vette to put our personal touches on it. There is still a ways to go, but we do it little by little and enjoy every minute of it...
I dedicated the engine bay to the time I spent in the ARMY. Adding items with the unit I served in combat with, the Bronze Star I received, and also adding my wife and my name...
- BEST MOD -
** BRONZE STAR License Plate - helps with limiting tickets... **
I received my Bronze Star while serving during OIF in 2003 with the 4th Infantry Division, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1/68th ARMOR Battalion...
