Background :the previous owner of this car used to race it against recent Mustang 5.0s with a stock 350 engine & a 3.42 posi, so obviously it had a blown engine from revving, revving, revving. The car was in an accident the first year i owned it, very bad scar on the passenger side. It's rusting quite a bit, and needs IMMEDIATE attention...

Current specs : the engine is a 1984 307 Olds V-8 in a stock shape. The carburator would need a full rebuild. The transmission is a 4-speed 200R4, and the rear end is he original 3.42 posi. Hookers headers + Summit dual exhaust. Lakewood boxed lower control arms. Tires are 15' on Pontiac Rallye wheels, 225/70 front and 255/60 rear. Pioneer CD player + 12" + 10" rear Beckman Speakers.

To come : I found used front doors with power windows, a rebuilt quadrajet. i found both rear passenger fenders: lots of body work to come. eventually, a neat 403 will find its way between the fenders of this car.

I don't think the car was a 442 to start with. the front grill is from a supreme's, and the VIN plate shows the following:

Division: Oldsmobile
Series: Cutlass
Model Year: 1973
Body Type: Hardtop Sedan
Engine: 350 (5.7) V8 4BBL
Plant: Framingham, MA

Furthermore, this is a 1973 car, so it's a car from in between days: the allout horsepower era pretty much ended in 1972, and the 5mph bumpers, catalytic converter, AIR pumps era started n 1974/1975. Not that there is anything bad with AIR pumps, catalytic converters, bumpers and such: it's just that their first actual implementation sucked technically.

1973 is actually the year the death of muscle cars became effective. This car is the tombstone from a 442.

This is the original state of the car, back in year 2000. The car was badly damaged in an accident, my ex drove it in front of an incoming pickup. she was alright, but the car wasnt.

This is in 2003, after a couple years of harsh Canada winters...

The engine bay features an home made dual snorkel, and also a 1976 Buick Century fan shroud.

Before a second paint in september 2003: left on a dirt road up North (really really UP North), right the morning before.

Just after the second paint in 2003, with a couple of Buicks (Serge's and PhilR's) and my dad's 1986 Cutlass.

fall 2006 - added the dual exhaust (summit) + hooker headers. also changed the tailight from 442 lens to Supreme style (bought on eBay): better shape, cooler chrome in my opinion.

winter 2006 - upgrade no.1324 - new gauges (bought on ebay). just have to figure out how to put a tach that would look stock on this car. sensors bought at fusick.com

M-A-S-S-I-V-E bumper guards, found on eBay. it seems that they are aftermarket. that car looks scary by now.
