WELL IM FINALLY IN THE PROCESS OF DOING MY 7.5 TO 8.5 POSI SWAP.
AS OF JAN.15.08 WE HAVE THE OLD 7.5 REAR END OUT AND THE CAR IS SITTING ON STANDS WITH NO REAR END IN IT. AS FOR A NEW REAR END, I HAVE 1 COMPLETE 8.5 HOUSING OUT OF A 77 TRANS-AM AND I HAVE A REBUILT 8.5 FACTORY GM POSI WITH 3.73 GEAR TO BE PUT IN THE CAR, FOR PEOPLE THAT KNOW GM'S YES I HAVE TO MOVE THE PERCHES IN, AND IAM GOING WITH A MONO LEAF SUSPERNSION SO WHEN THE LEAFS SPRING PERCHES ARE BEING MOVED IN THEY WILL ALSO BE REPLACED WITH MONO PERCHES.

MY NEW 8.5 REAR END IS INSTALLED, THE MONO PERCHES WERE WELDED IN AND THE THE REAR-END WAS PUT IN THE CAR WITH THE NEW MONO LEAFS, THEY DROPPED THE CAR ABOUT 5"..AND ONCE THE MOTOR AND TRANS IS IN IT WILL BE MORE OF A 3" ALL AROUND DROP.THE STOCK POSI IN THE REAR END NOW IS GETTING SWAPPED FOR MY REBUILT GM 3.73 8.5 SOON.ALSO, WHENT THE THE GR2 SHOCK'S MADE BY KYB, RIGHT NOW THEY SEEM PRETTY SOLID WONT KNOW UNTILL I'M ACTULLY DRIVING THE CAR IF THERE THEY RIGHT 1'S FOR THIS SET UP THOUGH.
