Here is my 1992 LT1 Corvette Convertible. This vehicle came with all the options for this year including the FX3 adjustable suspension system. I bought this vehicle quite and few years ago and used it for a while as a daily driver. Now, it has been a while since this vehicle has been retired from the daily driver role and I just wanted to make this vehicle feel more like my own. So, as Chip Foose would say I am going to work on taking the ugly out.
The front lower spoiler is from Greenwood. Although, I did purchase the full kit a while ago I am only planning on using this front spoiler. After thinking about this kit for a long time and seeing other Corvettes with it (some were nice and some were nasty with gaps between the kit and body) I decided the that the full kit might just be a little over the top. As you can see in this picture the spoiler has not been painted and the front bumper was not completely reinstalled. Along with the front spoiler you can see that I also went with the 18" Chrome Z06 rims (in my opinion the best looking stock wheels on ANY year of Corvette).

The Muffler Eliminator Pipes pictured here are from Mid America Corvette. The sound from these pipes just sitting at idle is awesome.

Here you can see the mirror conversion taking place. The original mirrors have been replaced with 2005 mirrors. Both mirrors are currently silver in color but the right mirror does sport a black Colgan Mirror Cover. The left mirror will also be disgused with the same cover, just not in this picture. After I am done with the body mods the entire vehicle is going to be repainted the mirrors and front spoiler will be taken care of at that time as well.

Here are some other pictures of the C6 mirror conversion. You can actually see some of my other vehicles in the background as well.

I have dyed the rear deck lid trim black to give the vehicle a more cohesive look. This piece was originaly tan as the interior but I think that small changes like this will make a huge difference when my vehicle is complete (are they ever really complete???). In addition to this, all the side markers and tail lights have been blacked out as you can see in the previous pictures.

I have added a Clarion head unit and removed the original Bose system. I didn't choose the Clarion unit due to the overall appeal, but the face has the ability to change color and match all the factory gauges (except for the double din dash it could almost be stock). Also, this particular head unit gave me the ability to power my component speaker systems without having to use another amplifier. The component speakers are Polk Audio and sound really good when accompanied by the dual 10" Rockford Fostgate Subs. The set up in the rear compartment is not going to be the final look. I am thinking about going for a custom fiberglass set up for the rear stereo components (painted black of course). This will take some time just to dream up due to the limited space that I have to play with.

This change is not as noticable but one of those things that only the owner would notice. The vehicle was lowered 1" all the way around to close just a bit of the wheel gaps.
