THIS CAR HAS BEEN SOLD AND SHIPPED TO MICHIGAN! :(

****NEWER UPDATE!!******
I HAVE JUST PURCHASED A 15"KICKER SOLO BARIC IN A CUSTOM ENCLOSURE, BOSS 3000 WATT AMPLIFIER, AND A 2 FARAD CAPACITOR.

*******UPDATE!!!!*********

Aight! This is my 1968 Chevrolet Caprice. I am the third owner of this car, and everything is ORIGINAL! The interior hasn't been touched since it was rolled out of the factory in 68, and is in BEAUTIFUL CONDITION. I will definately have more detailed picture up after I get a night where I can detail clean the beast.

As you can see in the above picture, the previous owner had put on some custom 14" rims and low profile tires, but that wasn't the best looking on this car. I went ahead and swapped out those for the 20" Moto Metal rims and low low low profile tires that I removed from my 1968 Chevrolet Impala SS, my previous car before selling to get this. I also put on the fender skirts to give it that gangster look. Let me tell ya, getting those wheels on in the back was a pain, having to not only jack the rear end up, but also having to lift the body up while sliding the wheel in there was a fun time. WELL worth it tho.

The sound system that was in there was the ORIGINAL, still fully operational, AM RADIO, with only one speaker in the dash. Previous owner removed the rear speakers for who knows what reason. After driving it for only 3 days, I was sick and tired of the three stations that came in perfectly clear in my area; talk show, politics, and Kisn AM. Kisn was fine, until I got "Twist and Shout" stuck in my head at work. I then went to Car Toys and had a Pioneer Premium Deck installed with two 6" Focal speakers in the luggage tray, but still "hidden" under the mesh fabric, just like back in the day. This system just with the deck and the two speakers gets LOUD....for now. I will be adding subwoofers into the mix, making a custom box for the trunk, so I don't have a large box floating around back there, and I will still be able to fully utilize my trunk space.

The engine is the original 327 V8. This time, the engine will not be taken completely apart and painted, chromed, and cleaned like the 68 Impala SS I had, just because I will be driving this daily, and it would be too much to maintain. This car is going to be an overall Cruizer. Engine works perfect, and is turning 120k miles. Turbo 400 transmission with the three speed automatic. Amazingly smooth drive, even with the 20's and low profile tires.

Strato-bucket seats equipped with power adjustments, tipped way back to ride laid back. Comfy as hell.

I will update my page as more is done, but my aim for the Caprice is to become a great looking cruizer, utilizing the dubs, stereo, pristine interior, and the following to come; Stereo completion including subs and front speakers, body and paint work, same blue color, possible pearl white ghost flames, something custom but not terribly noticeable, Airbags to drop it low, undercar lighting, and most likely digital dash installed.

Nice looking Caprice. Love those old classics. Check out my 1958 Chevy Wagon sometime.
