angelfactory's 1967 Plymouth Barracuda

I started the stereo install by building an enclosure to house the high end Sony headunit and a pair of Rockford Fosgate mids. It's also a good pic of the B&M Quick Silver ratchet shifter.

I didn't want to cut into the dash at all or do anything to hurt the car so made everything clean and easily removable to change it back to stock if necessary.
In the rear I removed the trunk divider board, not that it's that fancy or anything, and stored it in a safe place. I replaced it with 3/4 MDF board laminated on 1 side with stainless steel. I think it looks hot and says show car all the way.angelfactory's 1967 Plymouth Barracuda

angelfactory's 1967 Plymouth BarracudaThis is truly a father /son project and if I can afford to keep it until he is old enough to have it, 35-40, Ha Ha, He'll be happy to have pictures of him working on it from 1 1/2 years old on.

I added a pair of Sony 6x9s and a pair of 12" Alpine subs and wrapped the trunk side in black vynal. The 6x9s speaker grills are just dangling loose for the pic because I think I might paint them black and wrap them in black speaker cloth for a lil touch of retro and help blend the old and new.I loved the spinning sub grills in my Esteem so bought another set for the cuda

angelfactory's 1967 Plymouth BarracudaFor you car audio guys this is a familiar sight. How many dents can you put in your car for 2 extra DB's contest? LOL
angelfactory's 1967 Plymouth BarracudaEver seen a blown 18" subwoofer? It leaves a mile of coil wire everywhere. No it wasn't mine.
angelfactory's 1967 Plymouth BarracudaJunk stereo equipment toss. Was a lot of fun and a good way to take out that frustration when a $200+ subwoofer craps out on ya.
angelfactory's 1967 Plymouth BarracudaTook 1st place in sound quality.

I did'nt like the way the stainless steel did'nt match anything else so removed the board and rewrapped the whole thing with black vynal and called it done, just need to tuck in the spinning grill cover wiring.

angelfactory's 1967 Plymouth BarracudaHere we were sitting in our yard by the firepit when we needed some tunes. Turn the speakers all the way up but I don't think it will compare.Notice no matter where the camera is the volume does'nt get any quieter. We were rocking the neighborhood and with the Optima battery back in action did'nt have to start the car very much to charge up.

yet another mopar i wish to have cant decide between the fastback and the notchback i like the general shape of the fastback but dont like the rear part of the side windows the notchback looks great but the trunk ares kinda odd to me, but thats just me being picky i like all mopars (selling my chevys) -1970 Plymouth Duster (almost road worthy 340) -1974 Dodge charger (project) -1991 Chevy Beretta GT 5speed (for sale soon) -1992 Chevy Cavalier Z24 5speed
