This was actually my girlfriends car, I had an old Mitsubishi Galant when we met and she had an old Dodge Colt (American version of MMC Colt).
When her Colt "died" she wanted a newer model and she found this car used at the Skoda dealer in Iceland. In the end it was registered to me because I had a much better deal with the car insurance company ;o)

It is actually a pretty good car though I must admit that I hate the VW clutch it has (Skoda is now a part of VW group and uses VW material). It is so damn stiff and boring compared to many other car manufacturers. So I will not buy a VW car with a stick in the nearest future!
This was actually my only complaint about this car, well... twice it showed the Engine problem light and when it was connected to a computer at the VAG service center then I was told that the "car was just cold"... duhhhh... BS!!!
Then it lacked power when passing cars while driving in the country side but otherwise I have no complaints about this type of a car.

The first pic was taken as the sales pic for an ad in one of the local newspaper:

Another pic taken at the same time... but the car didn't sell at first:

We did travel a bit into the country while we had this car... and actually it was VERY GOOD in the snow. Of course you need good winter tyres but I was very impressed with the overall performance in snow.
The following pic is taken when we went to a "summerhouse" in the southern part of Iceland. Funny that all the guests, that we invided to join us, also where driving Skoda's at that time.
Our skoda is the one on the left. The other cars are an Octavia Turbo (based on VW Golf platform) and a newer version of the Fabia The snow just poured in several hours, there was no snow when we came to the place.

Another pic from the same location, just the day after on our way home, having to drive through some serious snow (though not showing on the pic :o( ).

After driving to Akureyri (on the northern part of Iceland) I realized that the car was good for driving inside the greater Reykjavik area but lacked power when driving into the country. So my g-friend and I decided to go for a bigger car, missing the size of my good ol' Galant.
In the end we decided, in 2004, to get a brand new Mazda 6 which is a fantastic car!

The last pics where taken several days before the car was sold at a used car dealer.
