19782's 1978 Ford Mustang II

This is my 78 mustang II. It has been a work in progress for the last 4 years. I picked the car up for $4,000 it was a very solid car.It had a 6 point cage, race seats, fuel cell, holley blue fuel pump, spooled 8in rear end with 4.11 gears, and a strong 302(30 over)351w heads,12.5 compression ratio. The car ran 13.50@ 101mph.
19782's 1978 Ford Mustang IIThe 2nd year I added a,race demon 750 carb,4.62 gears,meziere electric water pump,aluminum radiator,electric fan,hoosier dot slicks,fiberglass bumpers,and a hilborn scoop. Then the car ran 12.80s @ 107mph.
19782's 1978 Ford Mustang IIThe 3rd year I added a fiberglass hood/with scoop,fiberglass dash,fiberglass hatch/with lexan,and fiberglass doors/with lexan. The car ran a best 12.28@ 112mph.
19782's 1978 Ford Mustang IINow it will get a 347, 9in rear end, powerglide with a trans brake, and a new paint job.I can't wait to see what it will do.

Craig, The QA drag shock make a HUGE difference! The weight transfer is incredible! Even on the street, just dropping the hammer, the whole front end picks up and the rear end squats! Don't know what the spring rate is tho. They are fully adjustable. I love those valve covers! Did you have those custom made?

Glad to hear you are back at it. I am moving along a little slower than I would like. the temp in my garage hit 118 degrees today. needless to say I didn`t get much done.
