The New Bumper

Suspect1985's 1973 Datsun 210

When I bought this truck I was mislead on the condition. I gave $600 for this truck. I was told that the engine had been redone and a new head was installed. I drove it home which was 3 miles. I pulled the radiator cap off and it had slight indication of oil in it. I drove it around to the nieghbors house and back a few times and looked under the cap again. There was no sign of green, just chocolate chunky milk look. I flushed it over and over again and it kept comming back.
That was early last year. I decided to put my other motor in it. I bought the motor off ebay a few years back for $102. It was a 69 L16. Nothin fancy. I origionally bought it for another truck that I have. I finished installing the engine about two months ago. I'm driving it now but having problems with the distributer.
I'm always looking for parts and I need a cab the most now. Michigan salt destroyed two of the trucks I have including this one.

The truck is now lowered with a lowering kit I got off another truck. I been working on restoring one of my three 73 Datsun 620 pickups for the past 8 years. I'm 22 now know more about these trucks than most automechanics. Its just a matter of time before I run across an opertunity to build one to perfection or buy one already done.

This is after I lowered it.

The pic was taken with my I860 Cell phone. I'll have better pics posted when the snow melts.

9-8-08   My truck has been sitting since January of 2008.  I'm thinking its time to let it go.  It is so rusty in the floor, firewall, fenders, and rocker pannels that I don't think there is any saving it.  The motor I bought on ebay for it started leaking water out of the head and eventually blew a head gasket.  The 4 Speed tranny shifts really loose and makes noise.  The rear end pads that hold it to the leaf springs is warn all the way threw to the axl shaft.  According to the person I bought it from and the miles I put on it, the body has 608,000 miles.

I need to still fix the breaks on it, it needs all new break lines and new breaks all around. I am looking for new floor boards and the breaks and everything have any websites to find this stuff?
