I have several ideas trotting in my head for more stuff to do to this poor little car...
It's pretty sure I'll be going turbo as a first step. Seeing what has been done with Scion xA's and xB's (which share the same engine), a bolt-on low boost turbo should be more than feasible, and look to give horsepower results in the 160-180whp range.
Then, as I trash this engine more and more, after a few years we'll look into an engine swap. The 2ZZ-GE (used in the latest Celica and Lotus Elise) can be done, it puts out about 190hp for a 1.8l engine which is not bad, but it uses the VVTL-i system meaning that the power only really come on at high revs, from about 6000rpm to the 8000rpm redline. It's not really my kind of driving, I prefer more low-down torque for better response, so we'll see if a 2.0l 3S-GE (or even better, 3S-GTE, from the older Celicas) is at all feasible...
More external mods!
As much as I like radical bodykits, there's so far none for this car that have really caught my eye. The C-ONE front bumper is not too bad, but it's really overused here. The Ings 1 and Modellista look nice in pictures, but after seeing them in person, it just does not flow with the lines of the car. (I like the blunt nose look)
So, I will probably end up getting a JDM RS front bumper to match with my current rear bumper, paint the center bumper part matte black, and add a nice lip kit.
I'll also most likely get the C-ONE carbon fiber vented hood, the weight loss will probably be minimal (this car has a tiny hood), but it looks good, and I'll paint it back to red anyway.
I will also get a HID upgrade soon, with 8000K lights for a very slight blue hue.
Also to be done would be to paint the inner casing of the headlights a matte black, and adding eyebrows (I normally hate eyebrows on cars, but in this case, they just look badass)
And, last but not least, STRIPES. A car's gotta have stripes if it is to be taken seriously! :D
The end result could look something like this:
One fat stripe or two? I'm leaning more toward the single one...
Well actually today I saw on the road a Yaris with the Arto wide bodykit that is available in Thailand exclusively. It is beyond hot! Here's some more info and pics on it:
Yaris Arto Widebody
So I got Photoshop warmed up and saw what I could do with it. Gonna need to find a fiber workshop to make a few alterations (front Toyota badge removal, better blending of the rear fenders...), but this would be the final look:
I love it... now to start saving up for all that stuff!
