Well... This is my old Honda Civic LXi, bone stock with a torqueless(!) fuel-saving, 1.5 litre engine. We bought this car brand new in May of 1996, and we lived with it up until last March of 2007 when we sold it to a nice Lancer GSR owner for 215,000 pesos (about 4800 dollars). By that time, it already had around 150,000 well-cared for kilometers on it. We now have a 2007 Nissan X-Trail 200X.
Nothing can ever replace the Civic though... this is the car I learned how to drive in, almost crashed, and besides, for more than 10 years, this was my family's only car.
After you've lived with a car that long, you have to learn how to love it. Besides that tiny engine (back in 96', we didn't have enough money to get the 1.6 VTEC Civic VTi), I loved this car to bits. It handles well, has a nice comfortable interior, and adequate storage space.
All in all, a very well-balanced car. The 1.5 Civic is very, very underrated, but it offers great value at a price that cannot be beat. It makes a good used car buy, along with the VTi, as prices are now dropping into the low 200s...
The EK series Civics are truly the best of the bunch. Period. They were the last ones made with Honda's trademark double-wishbone suspension, which made its handling miles better than all of its counterparts- like the Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sentra, Mazda 323, and the Mitsubishi Lancer (not the almighty EVO though!)
I miss you, Civic :(

I used to have a set of 17 inch Konig DTM rims (Rota actually makes these here as the Rota Tuner and delivers them to Konig, who then sells the wheels at a higher price.) Mine are actually the Rotas bought at factory price, but who cares? They're one and the same I guess. If I can convince people I have expensive rims then that's great... haha, just kidding. They were my first (and only) upgrade, but due to the bad roads here in the Philippines, the tires wore out very easily, and gave the Civic a kinda choppy ride... Eventually, I gave them away to the guy who helped me sell the car... bad decision.
