Here is the car ready for winter...

mspeedP5's 2002 Mazda Protege5

The OEM rims were powder-coated "Iron Glimmer" by Pat and Denise at BLUE DRIFT COATINGS (250)724-6961.

This was another really affordable mod at only $60 per rim. They look great and they will hide the road grime and brake dust really well. For the amount of snow that we see here, the OEM All-Season DUNLOPS will make do. If it really snows, the car gets parked and I'll drive the 4X4 truck!

I have sold the American Eagle wheels and the Toyo tires to a buddy with an '89 Ford Probe GT Turbo. I'm shopping for new rims and tires to put on in the late spring or early summer. In the meantime, I'm happy with the look of the OEM rims after powder-coating.

My artistic side has gotten the better of me. The paint came out and I painted my Fuse Box cover and the Battery Tie-down "Brilliant Red". It sure helps brighten things up under the hood!

Then I decided to brighten things up in the interior as well! What do you think of this...?

And this...? (The little red dot at the base of the center console is the alarm LED)

I thought that a strip of tint across the top of my windshield would look good. It is 7" wide at each end and 5.25" at the center.

Hey again, I read your thread on the turbo build, and wow mass respect for going thru all that and not giving up!!! I probably woulda thrown the white flag, but once your in that far you almost have to see it to the end! I'm glad you did because you show what a P5's potential can be, because these ain't no honda's with a billion options, keep it up and keep checking up on mine!! peace.
