WELCOME TO MY OBSESSION!!!!!

Thanks to all for your votes for Showoff Of The Week. Your support and votes made this rig a winner in the second week of 2006, and to date, the oldest ride to win SOTW. I'm truely honored to be among the Gods in the SOTW. THANKS!!!
October 14 Update:
It's getting a little bit over-the-top. I almost wonder when I'm going to come to my senses....

August 6, 2009
I've done a LOT of work lately. Started in the fall with an axle swap that went totally wrong. What I thought would take a day, took 6 months.

But it's done! Front and back. Dana 44 in the front with disk brakes. And a corporate 12 bolt in the back, still with drums. BIG difference. Love it. Harder than hell to steer, but it looks awesome.

Some recent engine pictures. She's running good!!!

A couple other things done lately. How about Billet Aluminum step guards! Ball milled. Toooooo sweet.

More stereo and electronic stuff done as well. 6 light up toggle switches in the glove box. 4 will operate 4 individual pairs of lights on the roll bar. The last 2 will operate neon underglow. One full set under the body. Another full set in the fender wells.

the gear shifter is a .44 Magnum revolver with shell casings in it. The transfer case shifter is a chrome plated gernade. Pin and all.

And now, I have THIS.........

Though, Dave's truck still dwarfs mine....

Took the truck out again yesterday and got a couple new pictures. Enjoy...

I put on a new addition to my truck last weekend. A brand new fender emblem from LMC truck. Looks pretty damn good!

And my newest purchase for my truck.... A ROLLBAR! Picked it up at a yard sale for 40 bucks. What a steal!

Decided to take my beast to the gas station for a quick drink... On the way back, I snapped a few new pictures. Here they are...

I took the truck outside and decided to take some updated pictures while it was out in the open. Glad I did because they turned out GREAT!
The beast on the driveway - finally out of the garage.

I plan on fixing the damage on the hood and painting purple flames over the area that gets fixed... good idea or bad??? Vote your opinion on the poll, or sign the guestbook and give me specific details. Actually... SIGN THE GUESTBOOK ANYWAYS!!!

I had the truck out again this weekend and snapped off a few more pics. Here they are with a brief description.
So, here are a couple pictures of my amp that will go under the seat.

I also got my new chrome center caps this week, and just had to put them on. Open centers in the front and solid in the back. I think they look AWESOME!

My new antenna...

New tie down hooks for the bed stakes...

And finally, new pedal pads for the brake and clutch.

It sure is great to get new parts. Too bad it's all the money I have right now and won't have any for a while longer. I guess the exhaust will have to wait.
Now... this is NOT my truck, but is EXACTLY where I am going to in all my efforts. If I can get to this point... I'll consider myself very lucky. It's amazing to find a rig like this out there. Especially if you consider that it's over 40 years old and is nearly identical to my own.

LINE-X OBSESSION... Love the color scheme and of course the big tires. WOAH!!!
