Greg's First Car, a '68 Chevy Chevelle Malibu!
I bought my first car with $150 of my own money when I was 16 yrs old in 1980. The seller wanted $175, but because it died and wouldn't restart on the test drive I talked him down! Hehehehehe! Was I slick or what?

It took me 6 months of hard work with my Dads help. He showed me how to do the body work it needed. I also learned about scrounging in junk yards. I added air shocks and 5 slot mags that I got as a package for $100 out of the classifieds. I also added a Pioneer SuperTuner and some Jensen 6x9's! I went through the upper half of the small block 350 and did the heads in auto shop in high school. I also stuck a 327/275hp cam in it.
Oh, I can't forget the Cherry Bomb glasspacks and the "Dirty, Mean, and Nasty" mud flaps AND matching floor mats! Was I stylin' or what? Well after 6 months of work I was ready for paint which cost my about $200 for a gallon of enamel and other misc items. The painter was a brother of a neighbor that had watched the hard work and dedication I had put forth. He offered to paint it for FREE!
Here she was in all her glory!

Less than a year later I sold her for the money to buy the '67 GT Mustang seen on another page!
Thanks for looking!
