Greg's '67 ElCamino

66BuickSpecial's 1967 Chevrolet El Camino

Here is a pic of my '67 ElCamino. I bought it in '88 for $700.
It ran and drove but had a very tired Chev 350 with a TH350 backing it up.

I installed a fresh 9.5:1 350 with a Comp Cams 260H, Weiand dual plane intake, a Holley 600 vac secondary carb, and 2 1/2" dual exhaust. I installed air shocks and a trailer hitch followed by a complete front end rebuild including coils, bushings, and shocks. I then installed a B&M stage II shift kit in the TH350.

I used the Elky as a daily driver and to flat tow my Rabbit race car (seen on it's own CarDomain page)and my 16' Invader bowrider. This is something I don't suggest with the factory drum brakes on all four corners. The Elky had plenty of power, but stopping was optional.

One October day in 1990 after attempting to remedy the same electrical problem in the brake light circuit for the 3rd time, I got frustrated and drove it to a Toyota dealership and traded it in on a brand new '91 Toyota 4x4 pickup. This was my very first NEW vehicle, seen here!
