This is my 69 Galaxie 500 LTD

Chopper33's 1969 Ford Galaxie

Chopper33's 1969 Ford GalaxieRight now she has a 302, with an Edelbrock 600CFM carb, Performer intake, and cam. Headers & 2 1/2" dual exhaust.

I pulled the console out and put in a B&M Megashifter, the original shifter just had too much slop for me,Chopper33's 1969 Ford Galaxie currently making a new console for it.

She's fun right now, but.......there's always a but.
I plan on converting to disk brakes all the way around. Already in the works is a 429 and C6. I am trying to figure out just how to beef up the suspension so it doesn't handle like a tank. That will happen shortly.
Anyone in the market for a relatively low mileage 320+hp 302?

Well I figured out the suspension. The answer was to replace all of the old sagging 37 year old springs. I also now have a 1 1/8" sway bar up front, and a 1" sway bar in the rear, all with urethane bushings, and KYB shocks. That took the body roll away. Now some sticky tires and she will be alot more controllable.

I bought a 1970 F-250 as a donor vehicle. That's where I got the 429 and C6, not the original engine in the truck. It does have a 9" rear end I would like to use, width looks about right
I need to convert it from 8 lug to 5 lug. Anyone know the best place to get the parts to make the conversion? I'm not sure if it is posi or not, so I figured I would get an entire third member with gears and the carrier so I can put 3.89:1 gears in it too.

Hey, I am emailing all the 69 Galaxie owners a question. I am doing a frame off restoration on mine. The body is off the frame and I need to know a measurement. I am replacing the entire trunk pan out of mine and need to know the measurement between the ground and the bottom of the trunk pan at the front (closest to the engine) right behind the rear differential. The reason I ask, is because I am replacing the trunk pan with one out of a 89 crown victoria, witch is very similar but a couple of inches deeper at that point. I want to know if I can go deeper and still have enough ground clearance. The differential is approximately 7 inches off the ground and the trailing arms under the rear springs are about 6 inches. If you can get me the measurement I'd greatly appreciate it. Please email me @ littledmac@gmail.com or post a comment to my page. Thanks, Damon

Great Ride! I like the color. I'm just starting my 69 LTD It has a 390 with a C6. Just wondering how good does yours move with a 302? Mine goes nice with the 390 but the 302 seams a little small for the size of the car. But I know she will move with the 429. Check mine out some time when you get a chance.

Nice Ride, Where did you get the beefyer sway/stabilizer bars from? I am thinking I may upgrade mine. Check my 69 Galaxie out. I am doing a Frame of on it with lot of pics. What color is your car? I am considering a shade very close to your color? Anyhow, I'll be checking back on your page to see any updates. I would like to to see some interior and engine shots.
