The car has been in the shop for the last months, getting worked on whenever the mechanic has some spare time. which is fine with me, cheaper and i can spend some more money on the civic.

Last weekend i pulled the Audi out of storage with the help my dad and brother in law. it's been in a shed for years now and that´s not good for a car. so i decided to get it running and try to sell it.
at first i was planning on restoring it, but it never happened and probably never will.
made some phone pics, the quality sucks but here they are:

The dash for me is the best part of the car, i love all the little details on it.

Here is a simple photoshop of what i had in mind. The wheels are Revolution Classic Line 7x13", came out a little too big in the pic.

This was my grandfathers car before he passed away several years ago. It's an Audi 80 GLS and he bought it new in '76 and it's still in pretty ok shape. The GLS version was the luxury version with things like color matched interior, chrome strips, extra console with meters and a driver side mirror adjustable from the inside. wow!
My grandparents only used it in the weekends, that's why it has only run 31k miles. I bought it from my family when he died and was planning on restoring it in a 70's sporty style with red koni shocks and 2" lowering springs, stainless steel sport exhaust, wooden nardi steering wheel and 13" 70's style rims.
So far, it's been stored in a shed waiting it's revival. unfortunately i haven't done anything on it yet. it needs some new fuel lines, battery and tires. the roof lining needs to be repaired, the trunk needs a new paint job and both taillights are damaged.
Thanks for visiting the grandpa's car page, please rate and comment.
