This is the motor, mocked up just before we installed it in the bird. Looks good don't it? The motor is wearing a set of powder coated intakes from a '96 Ford Explorer, (which is the same as the Cobra intake) a set of BBK 1 5/8" shorty headers, and a Comp Cams, Noisey Gear Drive.
This is me and my Dad lowering the motor into the engine bay, (thanks for snapping the pics Mom!)everything possible was sandblasted, painted and clearcoated. Even the bellhousing and motor mounts. Spent alot of time on this project.
And these are the near completed engine bay shots. All that is left in the pics is to install the Belt and it is done. The swap has been done for a couple weeks now, and boy is it FUN!
And these are just some quick shots of the under carriage while it is on the hoist. The car is in REALLY good shape for an ex 3.8L that is from up here in the rust belt.

8.8" Mustang Rearend with 4.10:1 gears
5 bolt conversion with 17" Bullit rims
Subframe Connectors
2.5" Offroad Flowmaster exhaust system
Mass air conversion
new paint
Twin turbos
My ultimate goal is to run low 12's @ 110Mph in the 1/4 mile by the end of this summer.
