Shortly after purchase & Before LSC swap After LSC swapThis is my project. It had 192K on it when I bought it and now has 256K. I've had the car for 15 years now and have finally started to do more to it. I drove the car for 8 years in it's original state (to me). It had a FMS intercooler installed and FMS lowering coils. It ran good and handled like a slot car. In 00', I changed over to a 5 lug setup out of an 90' Lincoln LSC with 4wheel disc brakes. I loved the better braking. In 01', I converted the front to coilovers w/MM tubular LCAs. In 02' I broke both motormounts. At that point I started the reconstruction projectI originally was going to put a 427 stroker w/ 5spd, but my wife came across a deal on a 93' Lincoln MKVIII 4.6 DOHC engine w/73K miles. I just couldn't pass it up. The car was originally a 5spd and I wanted to keep it that way so I sold the auto tranny from the 4.6 and bought a new Cobra T-45 5spd. I found an 03' Cobra IRS so I sold the LSC 8.8. The mock up is done. Just a few more things to do.I've started the bodywork. I still plan on doing the turbo setup later so the engine will receive a forged 5.0L rotating assembly at that point. I've picked up 13" Cobra brakes as well.Hope you all enjoy the pics. Thanks!
