On my drive back to PA I decided that instead of just shipping her off to the scrap yard, a better way to see her off would be to go out in a blaze of glory... The Hookstown fair demolition derby! I'd been running in the derby for years, but never in the compact class.
I found a Chevette in my neighbors field for $50.. Let's see just how close these rear ends are ;)
It was close, but definitly not the same rear end. The control arms where shorter and wider on the Chevette, and I had to weld the drive shafts together, but all in all... it'll work for a derby car!
