Suspension Modifications
August 26, 2006 - Tanabe Sustec Strut Tower Bar
- It looks awesome with the anodized red. It does what I expected it to, which is to look nice, handling doesn't feel any different. The shock towers on this car is braced against the firewall, which already provides adequate stiffness, the bar doesn't add much.
June 17, 2007 - KW Suspension Variant 2 Coilovers
- Incredible suspension set up, well worth the price. The car feels a lot more solid than stock, not at all floaty over crests anymore. Cornering feels good, the car feels more tied down and there isn't as much body roll. I have the dampers set at around medium-high stiffness and the ride isn't harsh, I just feel every little tiny bump now.
July 14, 2007 - SPC Camber Adjustable Ball Joints
- Allows for front camber adjustment.
November 14, 2007 - Racing Beat Sway Bars
- They're thicker than stock (28.5 mm front, 27 mm rear, solid tubing), and look awesome in red, but I haven't really felt much of a difference. Maybe the change would be more dramatic if I didn't have coilovers already. But I think it is probably still a necessary modification to get the best handling out of the car, they're not very expensive anyway.
November 14, 2007 - AWR Sway Bar Endlinks
- Some people say the stock endlinks aren't strong enough and break after installing stiffer sway bars. These look pretty durable, but due to their open design, they sometimes make noise. The rear endlinks have extremely poor fitment, so I replaced them with Racing Beat rear endlinks. The front endlinks occassionally made noise, so I replaced them with AutoExe front endlinks. These are no longer on the car.
March 2, 2008 - Racing Beat Rear Sway Bar Endlinks
- Due to the poor fitment of the AWR rear endlinks, I swapped them out for a set of Racing Beat endlinks. These are of a similar fully sealed design compared to stock but thicker. They fit perfectly.
March 29, 2008 - AutoExe Front Sway Bar Endlinks
- The AWR front endlinks occassionally made noise, so I replaced them with these. These are fully sealed like stock, but it's 2 or 3 times thicker and is adjustable. Plus they look incredibly cool!
