I have a 1989 mustang gt, I purchased it for $1,000 two years ago, so far i spent around $3,000 in upgrades and new parts for it, and it runs like a champ. I made the mistake of buying an automatic, however currently my automatic will beat any stick out there. I had the tranny sent to Army's Transmission, where it got full rebuilt with thicker clutched, stronger gears, new factory torque converter(also a mistake for not changing it at the time but money was tight, and its getting replaced with winter:-)..) and i had a b&m shift kit installed. So currently i have an automatic that chirps in second gear. The engine was fully rebuilt and cleaned out, was in surprisingly good shape when it was disassembled. cleaned everything out,put all new gaskets, and new high volume oil pump.Once assembled I put some bbk shorty headers on it, a 65mm bbk throttle body with a 65mm ford racing EGR spacer. put a MAC fenderwell cold air intake. Put all new sparkplugs and wires, fooled around with the timing a little bit, put a double roller hydraulic timing chain in. Has a full straight through no cats custom 2 1/2" magnaflow exhaust. It has 373 gears in the rear, and some michelin hyrdoedge tires( just liek the sick V tread). It also has underdrive pulleys, and a ford racing A/C delete kit, along with new radiator, starter, belts motor mounts, tranny mounts, water pump alternator, hoses and such, its basically a brand new car. Inside its gutted out just some seats and jvc head unit, with a autometer A pillar gauge pod, and some Autometer Phantom oil pressure and water temp gauges.and also i switched out the crank driven fan with a electric fan from a ford taurus, thanks to alot of custom work done by Marty. Currently the car ran a 14.00@ 98mph, which is a huge improvement over a stock mustang, but still not good enough. Some plans coming up for the winter will definetly be bringing that down, polished and ported heads, 1 inch intake spacer, Cobra Upper and Lower plenum, stall speed converter, and dont quote me, but currently in the process of drawing up some plans for a Twin t3/t4 5.0 mustang. We'll all see how it plays out being as im a poor college boy. However if it did happen all the credit would go to marty and tyler, who each have cars you just cant mess with haha , thanks for your time
