The Front Roll Pan Progress:

I started taking progres pics with a disposable camera... they didnt turn out. so, i started using my new digital camera... i love it.

alright, i started with some rear corners from a 89-98 chevy box, then cut them to fit the front fenders, and made them only stick out as far as the signal light mount thinger.... i had to cut the frame rails back to the rad support mounts to make room for my new bumperless bumper.

this is the frist non-disposable pic i have of the progress.

steemin's 1977 Chevrolet Silverado note the box corners already tacked on to the fenders, and the trimmed frame rails.

we then put on the signal light mount and tacked a flat piece of steel all the way across the front. i made some braces for strength and to help roll the steel.

Then we tacked the tops of the braces to the signal light mount and removed the whole assembly and rolled the roll pan, tacking the braces as we went.

then we drew up where we wanted to put the fog lights (or in this case, daytime running lights) took the pan off the truck, proceeded to cut the holes, and french them in.

we then mounted the pan for the last time, welded the pan to the front fenders and filed in all the tack welds.

we grounded down the welds, and proceeded to body fill. the end result turned out exactly how i wanted!!
