I am too BIG and TALL for most sport cars.  The Mustang is a good fit for me.  I have modified my COBRA's seat frame and relocated the seatbelt retractor to make room for my  L-O-N-G legs.  Now my knees have plenty of clearance from the dash.

My Mustang SVT COBRA is a Daily Driver.

Cruising around Knoxville with the top down is FUN!

INTRAX 2" lowering springs.  Rides like a FLOORJACK!!

150k+ miles had worn the edges off a few items, so I did a partial restoration in 2009 which included a new convertible top, painting the bumpers, Bullitt pedals, FR500 steering wheel, wicked Ford Racing floor mats, and Ford Racing suspension.

*Injected Engineering diagnostic & tune on 11.16.11 in Kennesaw, Georgia.  Very good experience!

*Ford Racing Aluminum flywheel & King Cobra clutch

*Maximum Motorsports suspension, featuring EXTREME DUTY control arms.  (They are AWESOME!!  Plants and NO squirreling!)

*Stainless Steel & Teflon brake lines

*Kooks Long Tube stainless steel headers, and Bassani stainless steel Off-Road X-Pipe/cat-back exhaust.

*many other GOODIES

Stainless Steel Kooks/Bassaniexhaust system is beautiful.

The sound at idle is docile and increaces into a screaming Formula 1/jet engine as the RPMs climb. It is a trip to accelerate in the Knoxville Tunnel!

*

WOW!!  I LOVE my MGW shifter!  I no longer have to baby-step into third gear, I can BANG it like I mean it!!  Rowing through the gears is a joy and a pleasure.

Original COBRA rear wheels widened to 101/2".    Looks very cool.

Hey! Thanks for the comment! I've actually had a small budget (and great credit), just added a little at a time for past 6 years.

How do you like the 4.88 gears. I have 3.73 and thats plenty low enough for me

4.88 gears are only recommended if you are a Crazy SOB that disregards practicality and good sense. But I can accelerate to 172 mph @ 7200 RPM in 5th. Gas mileage sucks, constantly changing gears, and can not trust ANYONE to drive my COBRA (need complex algorithm to calculate downshift points). But if you Shift Like a God (of course I do!) it can be FUN!
