This is me & this is my monte. Ill take you to school on heavy chevy's boys....;) YourImportSucks's 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo   YourImportSucks's 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo  YourImportSucks's 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo YourImportSucks's 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

This is my 1987 Chevy Monte Carlo SS. I bought it on August 1st 2006. The car was completely bone stock except for the 14" cragar ss rims & cherry bomb exhaust which I had to scrap. The car is fully loaded w/ every available option except for t-tops. I am the 3rd owner & the previous owner had owned it for 8 years. The 1st owner had it for the remaining time & had said he had only winter driven it for the beginning of its life. It has very little rust, the only place ive discovered any was on the rear right quarter lip where a little surface rust is starting & the trunklid which isnt too bad. Everything else on this car is very clean & well maintained. These are some very recent pictures of the work ive done & have been doing to it in the past months. So far Ive got a completely rebuilt sbc 400 with a rebuilt th400 tranny. I originally was going to do a 383 stroker which I still will probably do in the next couple years with the Scat kit I have in the pictures below. The 400 is mildly modded...so far haha. It has a summit stage 1 cam, a weiand intake, a holley 750 double pumper, weiand aluminum electric water pump, patriot (pertronix) headers, dynomax exhaust, SRP pistons, 373 gears, msd electronic components the heads have been reworked. I did the frame & undercarriage cleanup myself it took just over 2 months to clean it rust proof it & coat it. The rims & tires were also just bought they are ION 625's 16x8 w/ staggered cooper zeon 245/16/50 in the rear & 225/16/50 in the front.  The headers are patriot metallic ceramic coated, 2.5" pipes, dynomax super turbo muffs & stainless steel turnout tips. This car was well taken care of through its life as you can see the floorpans are almost in pristine condition for being 22 years old ..these cars are notorious for rusting. Next year the body work will be completed & the car will be painted in a metallic gunmetal color. I also plan on fabricating a suicide hood. Ill keep this page as updated as I can with my progress. I hope you like my ride. Thanks for looking. Also, id like to add a few shoutouts to my sister leah who was on the phone & driving everywhere to get stuff for this car when I had to work. My dad for helping me, though he's a diehard ford mustang man (prev. owned 3 chevy's) still helped out & had a goodtime. To my friends who encouraged me though im sure they thought I was crazy. Thanks.

Ya, I agree. But then again, to each their own. I know alot of people take these cars and do them custom from top to bottom, lift kits

The Monte looks bad ass! I love it when people build these things for power, not to see how big of wheels they can stuff in the fenders. 5 stars.

I would say that this body style being awesome because of the SS factor, but I do love the late 80s Monte Carlos too. I owned a 78 Cutlass in high school and the similiar body style of these cars is appealing as they were built on same platform. I love it that you have kept the car looking so nice. Check out my ride sometime. Its a Plymouth Neon and my daily driver.
