I'd like to say this car is a work in progress, and it is, it's just a very long progress.

Time for an update, the turbo has been installed and the car runs.  Next is the tuning phase, but with jets and bleeds instead of computer crap.

Ran on highway and floored it!  Turbo spooled up, boost gauge showed 7psi and heard that unmistakeable whistle!

The best exterior feature would be the 1982 GLX stlying. The taillights are original, but the scoop and spoiler are add-ons. The body is actually a 1988 body since the the 1982 fell victom to body cancer.

Back to the engine mods, the orginal straight six was ditched for a

-302 overbored 0.020" and flat tops
-Victor Jr. clone heads
-Funnel web intake manifold (my baby..)
-750 DP with proform mainbody
-F303 camshaft
-HEI 50K ignition
-Shorty headers and off road H-pipe
-Stock rods and crank

The 8.8 rear end has
-3.27's (but i miss the 4.10s!!!)
-stock traction loc rebuilt

The tranny is a C4.  Now with the manual shift valvebody and transbrake. The launch is stupid fast.  Snaps like a sling shot.  Had tuning issues and lazy air flow since my heads are too large and intake and carb are too big, I decided to fill it up with boost 69mm GT45 Turbocharger. Recently found out that the heads required different plugs with a gasket, instead of a taper.  They reached further into chambers.  Probably the whole reason car ran so horrible!  Boost spools at 3K RPM not 4K anymore, all from using the wrong plugs, go figure.

Now shown on here are my new cobra wheels with M/T streets and skinner tires up front.  I had to cut a hole in the cowl hood, but the hood was used, abused and cheap so oh well.

The 4 inch exhaust sounds frightful.  I wish I could link a sound clip here.  The downpipe sticks down too far, but its worth the noise.  The dynomax muffler is way too loud.  Check out the tailpipe!!!
