I bought this '98 Wolfsburg Jetta back in the spring of 2000 in South Florida. I always knew the Jetta was a great sport sedan, and after owning it for nearly ten years, I still love it. It needed a little tightening up and a lot more power, but you would have trouble beating this car for a fun, fast, daily driver that you can afford to tune.

Here are the pics of my sound system. I used to work in the car audio industry in both Ohio and South Florida, so I did all this work myself about 6 months after I bought the car. I have all the pick on the stereo build up page. It took me about 5 weeks to finish the whole system.

Here are some shots of the interior and the custom kick panels holding a set of Oz Audio separates. Also notice the racing style factory seats and the silver gauges that came with the Wolfsburg, my side mirrors are heated and all my windows are one-touch which I could never live without again!

Lastly I wanted to show off the “Mild Tuning” I’ve done to my engine

Just Kidding... Here is my real engine compartment. ~ Neuspeed Air Intake ~ Neuspeed Wires ~ Neuspeed Short Shift ~ Denso Iridium Plugs ~ Optima Red-Top battery~ VF Engineering front motor and tranny mount ~ Lightweight Flywheel.

Not too bad for 135K Miles on it. Now that the tranny, suspension and shifter bushings have been replaced, it drives like a dream. Well, Okay, its no Austin Martin Vanquish, but it's a dream on a budget!!

Most of my upgrades were completed for '07, Brakes and Wheels done so far for '08, but there are plenty more to come you can check out on the 2008 Mods Page.

Here is a depiction of some of the custom work I am going to do on the front end, this drawing isn’t quite finished, but you get the idea. Hopefully the exterior will get some of this custom work and a spray of PPG this year.

My very understanding wife Kristi, and my beautiful daughter Chloe
