one thing you will need are clutch head bits. go ahead and get them before you need them. good luck with it.

Where are you at on your project now? I have a 59 apache 3100 stepside. You can go many ways with these trucks. I got mine for free from my Dad. He has too many projects. It came with a 235 six and three on the tree. In the bed there is a six cylinder and powerglide I think it is from a car because of the low profile air cleaner. Also came with a 55 or 56 olds rocket V8 and auto trans. I kind of want to do the rat rod thing. Maybe hot rod the six with clifford parts (check out clifford performance) or drop in the olds rocket. Give me some ideas too. You get 5 stars.

i had a 58 shortbed fleetside in high school. my uncle sold it to my dad and he let me fix it up. it used to be the "push truck" for the riverside raceway in california. i saw it last year at a car show here in oregon. i wish i had it back. check out my 55 crown victoria

Nice project! Have you started on it yet? There's plenty you can do with very little money. Check out my 58 Apache 1 ton Dually project. I am still finishing up another project but should be starting on mine soon.
