Michael's Purefury Edition 1994 Mazda MX6 V6 Mystere LS

2.5L V6 5 Speed MX6 - 185 HP, 175 Lbs Torque, 2650 Lb GVWR Fully Loaded, Power Everything, AC, ABS, Sunroof, 4 Way Discs, Macphearson Suspension, all that good stuff... Can't wait for my JDM KLZE Motor!! Could use some help locating a good Supercharger for the KLZE if anyone knows where....

Purefury is lookin' badass this summer with full body kit and functional WRX style hood, bigger alloys, and installing the Stage 3 Fidanza Clutch and Flywheel to a KLZE JDM Motor! Currently have everything except motor.... Damn you rent and college....

Skirt needed alot of finishing on the surface before paint, just doing it black quickly until its all on and I can paint it properly after.

Needed mad custom work but the front skirt is ON!

The Performance Upgrades

3" Catback Magnaflow Exhaust

Representin' the sweetest exhaust out there.... my custom 3" Deep Sounding, Catback Magnaflow...

purefury69's 1994 Mazda MX-6
purefury69's 1994 Mazda MX-6

The ChromeIntake Cold Air Kit Makes the Magnaflow sound even sicker.... mine is a 2 piece kit that grabs air from an opening underneath the car, instead of the hot air under the hood. Most intake air kits that grab air from within the hood actually lose horsepower... as you can see with mine thats not the case...

The Custom Interior

Came with Beige and Brown Interior ..... It had to go ... I spent 100+ hours painting the whole interior black with carbon accents, even dying the upholstry and roof of the car black. Being in the car is a completely new experience now. Black leather and chrome Momo shifter, as you can see, also the Momo Pedals!

Took forever but I turned this.... brown....eww... I left the console lip the brown so I can show what colour it used to be.

... To this! Black all around with carbon accents!!

purefury69's 1994 Mazda MX-6
purefury69's 1994 Mazda MX-6

This was all brown and beige.....only cost me like 50 bucks in materials.... but it was a time consuming pain in the ass... But its not like I'm about to drive around repping brown

July 2005 - Completely demolished the Storm 4 days after month of bodywork and triple black paint job. I was in college at the time, so I got the MX6 as soon as possible.

September 2005 - Installed 3" Catback Highflow Magnaflow and Dual Tip at my college. Also new flex pipe. Began WRX hood fiberglassing. Finished interior!

October 2005 - Finished moulding WRX hood, fixing many stone chips in hood, and small surface rust.

November 2005 - Painted Gloss Black, in my buddies barn! Getting actual paint job after body kit. Replaced front axle, CV boots were hurtin'

December 2005 - New Floormats and Seat Covers...

January 2006 - Blew my 100A fuse, and replaced.

January 2007 - Ordered Mazdaspeed Plate Frame, Ordered Got Netherlands? Decal, and Mazdaspeed Hat

February 2007 - Ordered Halo Projectors, New Rear Floormats. Painted Rims Black. Replaced the passenger door, due to poor asian elder driving...... and fleeing. Door was white and required lots of sanding and painting.

March 2007 - Ordered Zomkspeed Short Shifter, Mazdaspeed Door Sills, Mazda Racing Jacket. Put 2 new premium brake pads on the front, and serviced the rear pads. Made my blown JVC deck from the Storm into a storage area.

June 2008 - Added a grill, Installed the front skirt, and realized the grill made it not fit! So took it out and put a small one in for now

July 2008 - Installed the rear bumper, didn't fit right at all, just like the front. Had to grind away fiberglass in several spots...

August 2008 - Cut out the hood air intake, made with a lip to keep out water, installed WRX hood scoop to cool intake.

Didn't do much over winter, started school in August getting my mechanics license.  Put in a spiral cell battery, with 850 CCA, 200 more than stock, and a new alternator, subs kicked the crap outta the old ones...

Hopefully can start up finishing bodykit with the sideskirts when its warm enough.

Upgrades to Come!!!!

The Jspec JDM ZE Engine Swap - Redlines at 8000-8500 - High Rev, High Compression Motor - Can't Wait! And of course with that I am looking into a stage 3 turbo and intercooler, package should pump out 100 HP or so..... puttin' this light car around 350 HP... ahh yeah.. or just the KLZE alone with my upgrades, Megasquirt Fuel Management and JDM Ecu, I will be at around 250 HP..

Carbon Supra Rear Lights

Other Upgrades to Come:

purefury69's 1994 Mazda MX-6

Brembo Slotted Rotors

Lowering Springs
Strut Tower Bars
MSD Ignition
OBX Stainless Headers
High Flow Fuel Pump
Mazdaspeed Racing Leather Seats

If you have the time, please rate or sign my guestbook! Hope you like the 6, and thanks for stopping by!

The JDM Motor - Several people have realized the uniqueness and durability of the Jspec Mazda KLZE V6, and most fully done KZ Motors push 800 HP (With RX7 Twin Turbo's) The following setup replaces the V8 in General Motors euro car the Holden Commodore (Pontiac GTO). The 2.5 L replaces a 6.0 L, and if you take a look at the magazine write up, is seconds faster than the V8.

Picture of an old picture.. My Opa and the 1968 Bullitt Mustang he gave my dad.... who in turn ruined it, but thats what a first car is for isn't it :P .. bad quality but there it is!

purefury69's 1994 Mazda MX-6

The badges off of it, I still have them! Also, the 1970 SS Badges he ordered for his Nova..... Never Installed... I also have them on display in my house.... nicer and obviously rarer than the badging that comes on cars today....

If your bored, take a look at my first car (Before Totalling), Geo Storm! Had the same hood as my MX6, worth a look!

Let's see that Turbo Geo!

Built  > Bought - Anyone can buy a nice car, but it takes the soul of a tuner to build one.
