This is my 1991 Chevy pickup, when I purchased last winter it needed alot of tlc. 1st thing that I started with was having the truck undercoated. After I drove it thru the winter and I made it into summer is when I decided that I would need to start on repairing all of the old stuff that has been overlooked by the previous owner. The brakes, brake lines, rotors, fuel cell, fuel pump, u-joints, exaust, tires, even a simple wax job had to be done to this truck. And of course I tossed on a total of 9" of lift to hover over the 36x16.50x15 Dick Cepek tires that I was able to purchase off of ebay. Of course I had to see where I was going so I threw on a set of aftermarket headlights to brighten things up a little. Once all of this was completed, I took a step back and looked at the truck and it seem to me that it was missing something, thats when I came up with an idea for the body. I ordered a sheet of aluminum that was 1/16" thick, and had my pieces sheard and rolled to the contour of the body of the truck. With this installed, it gave it one of those eye catching appeals, this is what I believe makes the truck look a little bit better.
I plan on swapping out the gears this fall and having the truck painted sometime next spring. When I do this, I am going to remove the body off of the truck again and sandblast the frame and powder coat the frame as well.
This truck has a stock 350 with a manual 5 speed on the floor, and seems to be running strong. The previous owner said that he had the motor built, but I am still not sure at this time if it has been upgraded with a bigger cam and lifters. I plan on looking into this more during the winter months to come.
