In the Beginning
This is the life of 1 of 16,611 2002 LRT V6 Mustangs. In 2003 I purchase the car used with 17k miles on the clock. The car is my daily driver that I use to commute about 120 miles a day to my job - hence the name, "Workhorse." Since most of my commute is freeway, the car gets a respectable 26-28MPG. At that time I had no plans on modding the car, but old habits just don't die. I started with a the average mods most people start with, and quickly found myself hundry for more. In 2006 I did a radical modification and installed an 03 Mustang Cobra supercharger on the car and increasing the stock engine's output by over 150 horsepower (page 4). My current project(s) to the car are: designing/developing and constructing a new intake to employ a liquid to air charge intercooler, change the supercharger from the M112 Eaton to the Whipple ax140, and install long tube headers with upgraded exhaust pipping. (page 7).
How the car looked Fall 2003
This is how it looked when I bought it. Talk about a 4x4. Why Ford gives their Mustangs a foot of ground clearance I'll never know. The ROH Snyper rims compliment the "New Edge" body style with a destinctive angular spoke and it's something a little different. Interior is pretty plain. Two-tone grey and charcoal.
