Update: May31st
I had planning it for a little while now, but I finally pulled the trigger this week and sold my beloved bugeye. I am ready to move on and get some good value for her before I load too many more miles on. Pretty sad day but got to feeling better that afternoon!
I bought an 09 WRX WRB Sedan and will get that one loaded up here with some pics and some of the goodies I'll be adding.
Cheers and thanks for all the comments!!!
Update: March 20
I finally got around to having my modded stock injectors replaced with the Deutschwerks (850cc) and had Tim Bailey at Surgeline Tuning tune it again. I also upgraded to the Cobb AP v2 and we switched out the stock boost solenoid for a 3-port which improved the spool-up time.
We were able to increase the boost safely from the prior tune at 17psi and now have maps for 20, 18, and 15 with the 18 being my everyday map.
We marked the calibration changes of their dyno from the prior tune in 09/07 and expected to run maybe 5-10% lighter on the whp - I ended up seeing 290whp and 322tq - not too far away from my original off the hybrid build.
The injectors have defintely smoothed out throttle response, especially in very light applications in traffic, etc. and the tune feels great!!
Now if the sun would show up for more than 30 seconds at a time, I might be able to get some better pics.
Update: October 11
Finally had a chance to add a set of aeroguards to the front of the sideskirts - I had been trying to find these for a while. This is how I imagined the car from the beginning and I am happy with my finished exterior!
Since they came painted black, I decided to repaint the sideskirts at the same time to make sure everything matched up well...and they needed it.
Please let me know what you think.
Update: 06/09/08
Decided to do a mod I have considered for a while. I removed the pillar/emblem from the grill and repainted the black inset piece that surrounds the front of the mesh.
I am cutting away the remaining pillar bits and will have just the oval emblem mount to reattach to the grill if I want to switch back the look.
Here are a few pics - not enough light to get close-up detail, but it ended up pretty clean.
A couple new pics from a meet today - made some adjustments. I think I am happy where it is at right now as far as ride height goes.
Updated 05/20/08:
Well after over two years of building my ride I finally got around to making the switch to coliovers. I ended up going with a set of Endura-techs and installed myself today since I had a day off to work with.
Sorry for the crappy pic, but the flash doesn't show the drop well and there wasn't a lot of light. Call it a little more than a teaser for now.

Update 04/16/08: I have been looking at Works and Gram Lights and Volks, RPF1s and on and on new, used, yada. I just kept coming back to these and how reasonably priced I could get 17x8s with only about 7oz more per wheel. I would rather spend the extra cash toward the coils. Kept the same tires for now - will go to a 235/45/17 next.
Update 03/10/08: Here are a couple pics of the new a-pillar and gauges (EGT and Oil Press). Oh, and the Passport direct-wired.
I got a three pillar cause it was a great deal for everything I got, and it is painted to match the dash. But I still have not decided on the last gauge. In the meantime, I came up with a goofy way to fill the hole that ended up somewhat functional.
I found a 2" convex mirror and angled it to exposed as much of my blind spot as I could. After driving around with it, it does reveal most of it and lights from behind have not been a problem in my eyes. Just a temp fix but better than a hole.
Update 09/18/07: Just got done breaking in my new hybrid set-up - 2.5L STI shortblock with WRX heads. And then promptly proceeded back to PDX Tuning for the dynotune and maps.
Here are the new numbers (different dyno - Mustang):
