neilsrpcustoms's 1984 Jeep CJ7neilsrpcustoms's 1984 Jeep CJ7 Looking back at my sketch posted below,I can't believe how close it actually ended up looking. I totally forgot about the sketch.
Here is a rough sketch of what I am thinking of doing with the EXO. The spare tire carrier is actually going to flip up and into the back over the bed with a sort of ladder on the backside to easily access tools in the body and keep the weight more centered.I'll try to get that sketched also in time.

The main things that I am thinking about is the added over-all weight and the issue of having a flip hood, which would require more work in th sense that the front portion of the exo would have to be hinged and latched which in turn would weaken the overall strenght.I figure that with the correct height stinger most damage would be minimal if any to the hood.Plus it is fiberglass which is pretty easy to fix anyway!

Here's the CJ7. Since I last posted, quite alot has changed. I dropped gearing to 5.13's and added Ox lockers front and back,a new set of super swamper SX's ( 38.5 x 14.5 x 16.5's ) mounted on pro-comp rock crawlers. Soon I'll be building a custom top and adding a exo-skeleton.

Pictures do this thing no justice at all,you have to see it in person to really grasp it. The capabilities of this thing continually surprise me. Nothing on this Jeep is with-out purpose, and I have 100% built it from the ground up.I hope you enjoy the pictures, and feel free to ask questions. I don't get by here much, but I'll leave a link where you can reach me.

Unforunatly I don't have any pictures yet on the really crazy obsticles, things tend to get a bit hairy, and the last thing anyone is thinking is to get pictures.I'm bound to get some though!

Great Transformation. I love seeing CJ's built up! I've been working hard on my CJ7 but have a ways to go to catch up to you.

damn well i can definatly see how that would make it more stable up front cuz it really does become kind of loose up front with the coils at full flex when your trying to manuver around something.and than yould you go with a coil conversion in the rear? becaus eive sen that done before, leafs in the front and coils in the back.sounds like a really big job though

You're welcome. I am enjoying it. Just not doing anything "too" crazy. Haha
