This is my 92 Pearlie. I bought her in Dec. of '05. Pretty much from the first month I owned the car till now I've been modding it. Now that she's almost done its time to show her off.

The first mod I did was the ECUTune Stage 2v5 Chip and Z32 MAF. From there I created better flow in and out of the engine with the addition of a Cold Air Intake and Stebro Cat-back. Swapped out my stock wheels for a set of 17" Flik Arctic wheels and Toyo Tires. After the first round of performance mods I did some minor stuff inside, WRX Steering wheel, WRX 6disc changer, and a set of Rockford Fostgate componant speakers.

A couple months went by and I organized a dyno day at our local AWD Dyno Shop. I got 10 cars together and had a great time with a bunch of friends. But when it came to my turn my AWD wouldn't lock in 50/50 and the shop owner didn't want to risk damaging my car. This was the catalyst for my next round of mods.
In March I started talking to my mom about a 6mt in my SVX. At first I was joking but when she said "talk to me in June and I'll be able to help you out then" I started getting serious about it. Talked my friend Tom into taking a trip out here to Cali and helping with the install.
We set the date in Aug to do the swap and I spent 5 months gathering parts and info on the swap. First weekend in August Tom flew out like planned and the next 4.5 days we spent digging into the SVXs engine bay. We pulled the engine and trans out. Tom brought me a BIG suprise, stage 1 intake cams to go along with the swap. Swapped the cams and stuffed everything back in. Lest a couple minor hick ups the swap went smooth as silk.

I'm pretty confident in saying that my SVX is one of the nicest in Cali and quite possibly the west coast. But I do know I'm #5 with the 6MT and #1 out here. Anyone curious about a MT swap and if it's worth it...
YES Every penny!
