Problems, Mishaps, and Accidents that I have come across...
1) Driver Door Window - Shattered
-Apparently a kid in the neighborhood (about 6th or 7th Grade) had a friend over and as they were walking down the street they were throwing rocks at each other...one apparently hit my window. they kept walking and ignored it. So I am left wondering what the hell happened/who the heck hit the car. I did consider someone mowing the lawn, ours was done the day before so it wasn't my brother. My neighbor across the street was mowing his lawn but i don't see how it would have made it that far across the street and yards. We found out a few days later, my brother was with his friend and his friends brother was the one that did it and he happened to say it was him thinking my brother wasn't going to tell me. Well he did, the kid didn't get much more than a lecture on not walking off when something like that happens...the father paid for the new window....This did get me an excuse to get my car back into the garage, lol
2) Power Antenna - Nylon cord inside broke, thats about all there is too it..
This is how it was for about a week...
3) Rear View Mirror - My mirror fell, so i went to Wal-Mart got the Rear View Mirror Adhesive for like 97 cents, followed the directions and its back on...no pictures of this...
4) Motor Mount(Trans Mount) broke, and simultaneously the brake pads worn down to the 'squeal tab' - So...after chasing down what i thought was a Power Steering issue for about a week, i found that one of my motor mounts had broken and the brake pads were worn out. It started on Tuesday, i was coming home and the car squealed pretty bad when i turned right into the neighborhood, so I'm like wtf is that? so to investigate i was swerving through the neighborhood and I had ruled out th brakes because it squeaked /w my foot on the brake or not...but only turning right. I opened the hood when i pulled in the driveway and i gave the motor a little more throttle and i could slightly hear the squeak again. and then it went away for a day. When it came back i decided to check the steering fluid, which was incredibly low...i filled it and the squeal went away for another day. Then it came back, now im getting frustrated...i checked all the lines / hoses and found no leakes or anything loose. then a week later dad decided to go for a drive to investigate himself, while i had homework...he came back in a little while later and yelled for me to come outside and i came out and he says come here....and we go out to the car, and hes like "you tell me whats wrong"...he gets in starts the car takes it out of park and back in...and i watched my engine friggin picked itself up and attempt to make about a 1/4 on itself and im like ****!!! There was the problem, and we though the wheel bearing was the squeak but when we got the wheel off we found the pads were worn, and the rotors definatly need to be turned...and now what you may have been waiting for...pictures, sorry for dragging this on...lol

Well, I was going just a little too fast around a corner, just enough so that the right front dropped onto the leaves and that was it...The Bonneville slid off grabbed some small trees and halted. two maybe 2" thick trees were holding the car from sliding and or rolling down the hill (about 40' down). My Brother and I are fine. I damaged the Passenger side fender, front and rear doors, front bumper assembly, headlight & turn signals, knocked the tire loose on the rim and bent the antenna.
Someone called 911 as soon as it happened cut the fire dept. and police were there about 3 minutes after it happened. Good news is no one was hurt, and the Cop let me off too. He said he could charge me with reckless driving, but he decided since no one was hurt and no property except my own was damaged its gonna be for me to learn from.

Muffler broke, Wat I originally thought was a support/hanger had broken, but apparently what happened was the weld between the pipes and the muffler broke and the muffler was hangin' around...I got some wire to hold it up for about a week before getting it to the shop to replace the muffler. The Shop estimated $182 for a stock replacement muffler (that price does not include installation O.O). So I found a Flowmaster 80 Series on eBay for $81 and I am currently waiting for it to be shipped and installed.

My Inner Tie Rods and both rear ball joints all went bad. I didn't take any pictures because the camera battery was dead at the time and I was rushed. But let me tell you, Inner Tie Rods are a Royal Pain In The Arse to swap on this vehicle...oh man was I aggrivated. But I saved money doing it myself! All fixed now. But like I said the entire process was rushed, This happened 6 days of a 750 mile road trip I had planed to go to Florida for a Club Meet.
That very road trip leads me to this; Our plan was the guys were going to help me replace my LIM gaskets, At the time i knew they were going bad, but we found them to have completely failed, and we found that my motor wasn't maintained well. Which is my fault, I made some mistakes and now i have most definitely learned from it. Anyway heres a few pics I snapped.
At the meet, we got there and we began almost immediately:

Everything came back together fine, Oil pressure was awesome, 60psi at idle. Later that night on the way back to where I was staying, I lost Oil pressure completely. We pulled dover and figured maybe the oil filter got clogged from some crap that fell in the motor, so I babied it back. We changed the oil the next morning before I began my 750 mile trip back home. Everything looked fine, then I lost oil pressure again as I began the drive home. So we went back and droped the oil pan and found this junk:
The Bearings had just begun to spin, the oil pump was getting clogged and starved the bearings. So the engine is toast, it wouldn't have got he home. So we left it there with Brad, who offered to rebuild it for me and I could come back down and get it.

Then Engine #2 goes on me. 66 Miles on it after the rebuild and it has a Rod Bearing Knock. O well, This time I went back to Florida to get the Bonneville and Have a go at rebuilding it myself.
