This is my '89 Iroc-Z. Unless you watched a TV show called FireFly you wont get my car's nickname. I got it this summer for $1000. The original owner wanted 2500 for the car but after talking to me on the phone and finding out that I only had a Ford Taurus SHO for trade he decided that I was a good kid who knew his stuff about cars and would take care of his baby. Get this he allowed me to make payments on the car till I sold my Taurus at $200 a month, it was a deal of a lifetime.
The original color was silver and it's a low option Iroc-Z, which means it didn't come with the cool TPI, or even a posi rear end. When I got it the badges were stripped off because it was in the process of being turned into a race car, thus the only way to tell that its an iroc is that it has O.E. front and rear sway bars and a Z28 badge on the dash.
Like I said it doesn't have a TPI. It does however have a 305 TBI. Nothing has been done so far to the engine, however the catalytic converters have been stripped and a new Transmition has been installed with a speed shift shift kit before I owned the car.
The Rims are made by Progressive and are wrapped in Winston Winner G/T rubber.
I recently bought a new Cam and lifters,
Edelbrock carb., Edelbrock intake,
Mallory distributer and coil,
MSD Wires
Hedman Hedders and Y-pipe,
and Aluminum Valve covers....
I spent 1600 on these plus a few more necessities i.e. gaskets and timing chain.
