1984 AUSTIN MINI 25

This mini was bought as a project which will hopefully be finished by the time i am old enough to drive.I am rebuilding it with help from my dad. When we first got the car most of the door hinge pillar behind the a panel had rotted away so we welded in new metal. We then welded on a new bottom half to the a panel because it was full of filler. The car has some rust and the front floorpans need replacing aswell as a few holes patching in the engine bay and valances. We dropped out the engine and brakes on the subframe and i stripped it all apart and then degreased and repainted the parts, but not in the standard colours as the car will not be restored to standard spec.

THE ENGINE
The engine is a 998cc mayfair engine which produced 42 bhp from the factory. I have repainted and refurbished the engine and put it back together with new gaskets. I have recently fitted an LCB exhaust manifold and alloy inlet manifold and i will post pics soon. The engine has racewires ht leads,a K&N style cone filter and a revotec silicon radiator hose. here are the pics.....

BRAKES AND SUSPENSION
The brakes are the standard 8.4" discs with ap lockheed calipers. I have bought new discs and pads and have repainted the calipers. For the suspension i have repainted the top and bottom arms and bought adjustable tie bars. More pictures soon.....
