After I crashed my beloved first car into a farmer’s field and also his tree, I went shopping for a new car J I decided that I needed a bit more power as I didn’t even get a scratch in the crash! Here it is, calling out my name, I had to have it!

Another Saxo but this time a 2000 W reg 1.6 VTR. Couldn’t quite afford the VTS version at insurance group 14! Gimme a break, i'd just written off a car, my premium was already through the roof! Lol. Group 7 will do nicely. So, straight to work! All the “bolt-on” interior stuff salvaged from my first car, pretty much went into this one. Leather seat covers, blue sparco harness pads, blue footwell neons, ripspeed tax disc holder e.t.c e.t.c. Theres pictures of all that stuff on my other cars page if you haven’t already had a look and if you havn’t.... y not?! Lol. Since I got the car a lil cheaper than expected I also bought a new handbrake and gearknob. First of all alloy handbrake. Simply cut away the rubber from the standard handbrake, get an adult to help you with the sharp knife lol. put on the new one and tighten a few screws to help keep it secure.
After putting mine on I thought it looked abit sh*t without a gaitor, so ordered one cheap from Ebay, its nowt fancy but does the job . The momo gear knob was a very similar process. Cut away the boring rubber one, I also had to cut off a plastic retainin clip, but I think it would depend, on your chosen gear knob. Put the new one in place n tighten it up. I got a gaitor when I bought the knob, it just clips on under the plastic trim.
The only thing I didn’t transfer over was my Lexus lights even though they were untouched in the crash. I just think they look funny on black cars. They will be up for grabs on Ebay when I get round to learning how to sell things lol.
I'm after some Afterburners if anyone knows where I can get some without cleaning out my bank account.
