Here is my wifes and my new mr2. It is a 88 sc manual and apparently its a rare color, orange pearl mica, so this winter I will be having the body repainted the same color as you can tell by the pics the paint is the definition of oxidized, im thinking it was a desert car, only rust is a spot just behind the rr wheel and a few little spots here and there these are the pics from when I bought it (from the local junk yard) it has 118k on it I already put 3k on it in the last month, its mechanically sound, needs ft sway bar end links, a idler pulley, and im gonna do a belt soon (it dont look old but id rather do it and know how old it is).
Also this is our 3rd mr2 out first was a 86 na that ran great just the body was rusting off (literally), and a 91 na that looked great but didnt handle anywhere as good as the 86 (go-cart) so we decided to get another 2, and after like 3 years of searching with no luck, we found this one which is exactly what we wanted, I wanted a 88-89 sc, manual and the rare color is a added bonus, I guess the previous owner had taken good care of it but he scrapped it when the starter went out, oh well his loss is my gain.
