I always said that If I ever found a Nova between 70 and 72, and could afford it, I would jump on the chance. Well, 2 weeks back my son and I got lucky! A good friend called and gave me a tip about this beauty. Well, maybe not to the untrained eye, but soon I hope if everything goes to plan. The car is bone stock and was running when picked up 40 miles north of my location. It had only 2 previous owners and I am the third. 107,000 original miles says the odometer. It has a far from fresh L6 250 straight 6 in the engine bay which will be re-done. The interior is very good with the exception of front seat covers. Floor pans and trunk are unbelievably all rust free and solid. Thank God! The last owner hit a guardrail in the rain on the front passenger side but that will all be replaced as will be the lower rear quarters. The gas tank has got to go due to a leak anytime you have over a 1/4 tank of gas. A few friends think its a piece of scrap but I know better than that. I am recording the restoration with photos and will post them as I go along. I hope to be done by the summer of 2007.
