i no longer have this truck i traded it for a 4 door blazer, check it out: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3331274

im now 17 years old and this is my ranger. all the work i have done to it was paid for by myself, not my parents. several years of hard work and saving was done to pay for what has been done to it

this is how i got my truck back from someone who was doing the body work on it and this is what it looks like:

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

tabs on the fuel cell were broken off

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

parellel bar on drivers side is about to snap again b/c of someones lack of care and aggressive driving

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

the harness for the taillights that i have to re wire

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

the mess of wires for the taillights

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

unfinished bodywork

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

weather stripping that was bent in and doesnt fit right now

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

there are scratches all over the plastic around the glass from the sanding as well as overspray from the primer on just about every piece of glass

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

the tint on the rear glass has scratches all over it

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

scratches and bondo dust everywhere plus there were scratches on the directed amp that i had

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

most of the plastic clips and screws for the interior pieces are missing

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

the mess in the back and the unfinished door pieces

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

wires for the neon lights and train horn and various other things that are hanging from under the dash

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

more bondo dust everywhere in every crack possible

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

the door jambs that are half way sanded w/ bare metal in several places (i took the seat out to get the subs out)

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

the grill and grill shell is still missing. the grill shell was broken when removed, hopefully its fixed now

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

the air line for the train horn was cut off about 2 inches away from the ptc fitting and looks like it was laying on the muffler and the wires were cut off from somewhere and it all needs to be replaced

my truck is bagged w/ the following components:

-8 blitzluft 1/2" valves

-slam bags, RE6 in front RE7 in back

-trianglated 4-link from fbi (not the best 4-link) i only used the tri bars and fabbed my own parellel bars to mount bags and shocks on

-7 gallon air tank from fbi

-2 viair 380c compressors

-avs 7 switch switchbox

-2 dual needle 300 psi guages

-all 1/2" line for bags only 1/4" line is for gauges and i put on 3/8" dump controls for the dump valves

-DJM 4" lowering control arms

-the front is z'd and i have no ac/heat

-RCI 15 gallon fuel cell was put in b/c stock tank hangs below the frame rails

-custom tranny crossmember

-custom built driveshaft that is smaller in diameter

-all stock floor and stock carpet

a lot of the work was done by a shop called 110 Kustoms in Monroe, NC. they did a crappy job, they rushed their way through everything and because of that i have had to go back and pretty much redo everything. if you know of 110 Kustoms and were thinking about getting some work done by them DONT, because they will rip you off

SYSTEM WAS STOLEN, I NO LONGER HAVE IT

this is what happens when your driveshaft breaks on the highway and u are forced to leave your truck there overnight

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger              crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger              crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

as you can see the window was broken into, they stole the alpine deck along w/ the dash piece that was around it the had a dakota digital voltmeter. they also stole my subs which were blown and werent worth anything unless they would be rebuilt, my amp (the real ball kicker b/c i paid $1400 for it and it was still in excellent condition), the owners manuel for the truck, and the tag off the back of the truck. on top of all that insurance will not pay for anything and im left on my own to fix everything. plus i still had to fix the original problem which was the driveshaft

i got the window replaced, a new driveshaft that is 1/2" smaller in diameter built, and i put in a new dash piece out of a explorer along w/ my stock radio

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger              crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

my old system
i hit 150dB with this system
i have 2 12" audiobahn AWIS12P immortal series subwoofers, a rockford fosgate T40001BD amp pushing 4700 watts RMS, 2 50 farad capacitors, 1/0 gauge wires from kicker and stinger, a alpine CDA-9856 head unit with ipod adaptor, 200 amp alternator, 2 optima yellow tops, and 100 square feet of this stuff called fatmat which is just like dynamat. i built the box myself using 3/4" mdf, it is a 6 cubic foot box tuned at 40Hz with 2 4x15" ports per sub.

empty, carpted box is for sale. hit me up if interested. $50

my new system

this system is for sale b/c i want to save up to get either 8 15's or 4 18's. so if ur interested let me kno and we can work something out. im asking $500 for it. heres the breakdown of what the system is worth: subs $150 each, amp $250, and box $200.

i just got this system today (11/30/08). i traded my paintball gun for it and it was a good trade for sure! it is 2 10" kicker 2006 L5's w/ a directed audio D1200 amp pushing 600 watts rms. the subs are rated at 450 watts rms each so they are underpowered a little bit but it sounds pretty good, which was a surprise to me. the only thing is that i wish they were 12's or 15's but it is still a good system, and it dosent compare to what i used to have

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger             crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

i just traded the 10's for 2 15" audiobahn d jones special edition subs with a kenwood 500 watt rms amp (3/25/09). the subs take 500 rms each and are dual 4 ohm but 2 dual 4 ohm subs cannot be wired so that the amp is at 2 ohms, only 1 and 4 ohm. the amp puts out 850 rms at 2 ohm but for now ill have to go with 500. im planning on glassing a box behind the seats to put this new equipment in

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

my rubber duckie, haha it has the best seat!

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

yea i was at scrapefest on sept. 22, it was a great show!

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

here are some pics of the fatmat, i put three layers on the roof to try and prevent most of the rattling because the subs fire up
after i installed it i had my truck outside and just about all of this stuff that was on the roof fell off from the heat, it didnt get any hotter than 85 either, so im pretty pissed about that

crazs's 2003 Ford Rangercrazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

close up of sub
i just blew both subs, sucks. i was testing them at 20hz and the excursion must have been to much now they are distorted and make a lot of rattling noises(4/26/08). now time to start saving up for a new and louder system

crazs's 2003 Ford Ranger

this is my alpine head unit (that i dont have anymore) in the painted trim

my plans are always changing for this truck but this is what i want to do once i get about $12k:
-new system:
8- 15" memphis mojo subs
2- rockford fosgate T40001bd amps for subs
1- rockford fosgate T15004 amp for mids and highs
20- infinity kappa 6.5" component sets
1- panasonic CQ-VW100U 7" touchscreen headunit
1- ps2 with wireless remotes
i plan to get all this equipment to fit behind the front seats and overall it should have 11,500 + watts rms. of course i will upgrade the electrical system including 2 200 amp alts and 6 yellow tops. i want to make a fiberaglass center console to hold most of the speakers that will go up and in front of the box for the subs and the other component speakers will be in the doors and the roof

Great custom work, it really is. I will say that I like the truck more with the all black primer look, that's just a personal preference of course. I watched your drag videos, you're no slouch on the highway. Did you enter that drag competition during that show you went to?
