Upper a/c vents removed and fiberglassed to house Kenwood P907 foldout monitor
Alpine in-dash DVD player (DVA-5200) resides in factory location
The A-pillars were fiberglassed for MMATS tweeters, then tweeded with graphite tweed, the tweeter trim rings were painted yellow
Passenger air bag was removed and the dash was fiberglassed for flush mounting of a Sony Playstation, the dash was then covered in aqua vinyl, and the controller cables were then routed to rear of the center console
An insert in the center console was modified with ABS plastic and fiberglass to house the switches for the aftermarket power windows and locks, and also the alarm's status l.e.d. It was then finished in aqua vinyl as well as the armrest, the rest of the console was tweeded.
The lower section of the doors were fiberglassed to make room for 2 MMATS 6.5" midranges, the trim rings were then painted yellow.
I wanted to add more tv's but wanted to do something that people(and judges) hadn't seen before, so I fiberglassed the upper section of each door to allow a Kenwood LZ-700 7" widescreen monitor to be flush mounted. Both sections of the door panels were then tweeded.
A second set of MMATS tweeters were added to the top of the door panels in fiberglassed pods, tweeded to match.
For bass a wall of 4 MMATS Pro-15 15" subwoofers was built out of " mdf, covered in yellow vinyl and a trim panel finished in the graphite tweed finishes it off.
New panels for the trunk were made to help show case the rest of the system, the two brains for the P907 were flush mounted in the new back wall of the trunk, the passive x-over's for the MMATS components are mounted two on each side, 2 yellow top Optima batteries(another one replaced the factory one under the hood) are flushed into the floor of the trunk, while the system's 3 amplifiers(1 MMATS LM2125 rated at 2x250 watts RMS for the componant sets, and 2 MMATS D200HC's rated at 1x1200 watts RMS each) are mounted on 2 pieces of 1" aluminum tubing that is suspended between the 2 side walls. Lightning Audio 1/0 guage wiring and accessories were used throughtout the setup.
