Most people like to think of Arkansas as a hillbilly state where everyone walks around barefoot with a piece of straw stickin out their mouth (maybe some still do that).

Any pictures that can show what else is contained in "The Natural State" in a little more positive light will go on this page.

My Secret Fishing Spot
This is a small mountain creek about 10-15 minutes away. It may not look like much but the bass fishing is GREAT. A good spot to wade and fish since its only a few feet deep in most spots.

The bass aren't monsters, but there's a lot of quality 2-3 pounders to be caught. I like to use a ultralight spinning rod/reel and 4 lb. test line, which is a hell of a lot of fun and a good challenge when catching bass. There's some good smallmouth bass in there too I'll try to get pics of.

Just an example of the fish that I catch there.

Took my friend fishing and this was the first fish she ever caught. As fortune would have it, it was the largest smallmouth bass caught that day.

Farm pond about 25 minutes outside of town

This big boy put up a nice fight. But once I get the hook set there's no gettin away from me. He's pushing close to 5 lbs.

Beaver Lake: A good place to go relax and get away for awhile.

The greenish brown color of the water is caused by lake turnover.

Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium (I took the pic on the left): Home of Arkansas Razorback football and Heisman Trophy candidate Darren McFadden. The stadium also has the largest Smartvision LED screen in the WORLD (AKA PigScreen).

Here are a few shots I took at my dad's house over Thanksgiving
These shots are looking off the front porch. You can see deer out there a lot of times. The driveway is well over 100 yards to the road.

Not too far behind those trees is the Bayou Bartholomew (the longest bayou in the world) that runs through the property. When the fishing is good, its REAL good, and when its slow, its REAL slow.

White River


The shoal I'm standing on here is right in the middle of the river. If the rain is heavy enough I'd be AT LEAST chest high in water when the river rises.

Lake Sequoyah Spillway

Here is the spillway at Lake Sequoyah that empties into the White River. You can see the Ozark Mountains in the background.
