This is a picture I found in the net { left side picture } about a motorcycle like mine , interesting, very similar. Mine follows { Bellow right }.
Here a picture of the motorcycle before I ever painted the wheels
black and still showing the
stock family handlebars.
I found out, in my case, that the
stock family handlebars create pressure on my lower back and mid section back,
due to the erected posture, vertical pressure on the discs.
Clip On Bars and Club Man Bars allow the back to rest confortably in a more relaxed manner , distributing the weight not only on the entire vertebrae column as in the case of the stock
family handlebars , but in a more horizontal distribution along the back , shoulders , arms and all muscles in between. Requires some "getting used to" adjustment period of time, but once achived, the physical benefits, as well as the performance enhanced postion, and resulting better cornering will prove to be more than a bargain .
My motorcycle is a
Honda CB750F. It is a cafe racer , with
low handlebars designed to
make the rider sit confortably in an
aerodynamic posture and achieve fast speeds with ease through less wind resistance and with a
lower center of gravity.
I have bought
Telefix Clip On Bars , soon to be installed , so here are a few pictures of the PRE
Telefix instalation. ( curently the bike has
Club Man Bars )
Club Man Bars is a simple way of achieving the benefits of aerodynamic posture both in the physical side and the performance /cornering side of the equation on a motorcycle.
Clip on bars hold individually onto the front forks, one at each side, hence more work needed upon instalation .
The handling is superb, each movement directly exercising force upon the fork , unlike conventional
Family Bars and similar other unidimensional handlebars. The result is easier steering and absolute control and response through excellent feeling of the behavior of the bike.
Black is the
color of choice on all my vehicles wheels, be it a motorcycle , an ATV , a 4X4 or a car.
Black wheels add substance to the wheel tire look by combining the wheel and the tire in one only element. A chromed of light colored wheel separates conclusively these two elements within the wheel/tire package , making the tire look smaller, and adding a look that, in my personal view, hinders on the intended sports look sought after. Another feature , black wheels look cleaner even if not really clean , giving the motorcycle a more functional look .
You probably noticed that the original
Kerker muffler is gone. One day as I rode my bike, the exhaust tone begun to sound funny. The aluminum canister (
Kerker ) cracked and split from the exhaust pipe , and there was no way of fixing it except by paying for expensive aluminun welding. My buddy at his Hawthorne shop , "Richard" welded in with expertise a Suzuki muffler. The end result is mind boggling , it added a modern look and the muffler is
stainless steel. All for a steal price of 40 bucks!
Here is the
Telefix Clip on Bars, fully adjustable in all directions , 360 degrees. No wrist problems as
cheap clip on bars provide. Most cheap
clip on bars can only be clamped to the forks, but that is it, a fixed position that you will have to adjust to , with
Telefix ( German quality, we have to admitt Germans are quality experts )
Clip on Bars there is no need to adjust yourself to painfull situations ,
Telefix adjusts to your body , arms , wrists and back positions in a jiffy!!
This is a picture of cheap clip on bars I bought on E bay ( I hate that place, I got ripped off so many times , never ever going there...caveat emptor!!!)
. The position is fixed and there is nothing that can be adjusted except your own body. Not only that , I would had tried those bars anyways , but the bars are so short, only the grips would fit, no place for the ignition / switches nor the master cylinder on those bars. Whom ever did them just wanted a quick buck. What a disgrace.
Beware of
bad Clip on Bars. I recomend
Clip on Bars by
Telefix. If you are lucky you can score some used ones , I could not and decided a new pair directly from Germany was the only way. All the used ones I came across did not match my fork size, which is 37MM.
