BobDoLemite's 2001 Chevrolet Camaro You can see the BMR shock tower brace, WhisperLid (replaces restrictive stock airbox and resonator). The Harris Speed Works nitrous solenoid (PowerMax 2 Port) is off to the left side of the engine compartment.
Changing the spark plugs requires mental preparation and patience.

BobDoLemite's 2001 Chevrolet CamaroI threw some NGK TR6 Iridium plugs in February 2007 after squeezing over 120lb of nitrous over the old TR6 plugs. This is the worst looking plug of the bunch. Given the amount of nitrous I sprayed through the engine with stock timing and 91 octane pump gas, it doesn't look half as bad as I had expected.

I currently use HPTuners to scan/log and program my PCM. I usually alternate between one tune that has maximum timing advance for 91 octane and one tune that is safe for nitrous. Both tunes have lowered fan activation temperatures, faster & firmer shifts, reduced torque management, disabled EGR and disabled speed limiter. The nitrous tune has a lot of timing taken out after 2800RPM. It only takes about 2 minutes to upload a tune file to the PCM with a laptop.
BobDoLemite's 2001 Chevrolet CamaroHarris Speed Works 10LB bottle sitting on an 860Performance automatic heated bracket. The bracket is mounted onto the middle "hump" between the rear seats. I have it setup so that the bottle is heated up to 1000psi. When the pressure switch shuts off the heated bracket, pressure continues to climb for another 25psi.
BobDoLemite's 2001 Chevrolet CamaroMy custom bottle blanket :) not only keeps the bottle warm, it also conceals the bottle when the top is down. It utilizes Gore-Tex Warm-To-Touch and a three-layer fabric interior (snowboarding jacket).
BobDoLemite's 2001 Chevrolet CamaroThis switchplate fits right into where the ashtry used to be. It controls nitrous arming, activation and the bottle heater.
BobDoLemite's 2001 Chevrolet CamaroThe nitrous kit is a Harris Speed Works Sudden Impact Single Nozzle Dry Kit. I relocated the nozzle to get a better flow if liquid N2O. I am using a .044 jet (75HP rated at the wheels with bottle at 950psi). The dry shot produces significant torque when activated around 3,000RPM and causes tirespin when activated as late as 30mph when accelerating from a rolling start - even with LSD and Falken Ziex ZR 275/40/17's. I use hptuners to ward off the piston munching knockmonster, but I am maxing out my injectors.
BobDoLemite's 2001 Chevrolet Camaro
TO-DO List: Falken Azenis RT-615 or Yokohama AVS tires,
Eibach Pro-kit springs and Bilstein HD shocks,
Higher flowing injectors,
Higher flowing fuel pump,
.054 nitrous jet.

Whisper Lids don't have A.I.R. Pump hose holes I believe so you can put a K&N Air Pump Filter on the A.I.R. Pump end. Correct me if I'm wrong. All lids gain round 5rwhp. Anyway, nice Camaro, too bad you lost it, but now you moved on to a V8. Gottsa love 'em.
