Well this car was totaled. On a very wet day, I hydroplaned at 40-45mph (going straight) on an unlit freeway ramp. I did not feel it lose traction. The left rear stepped out as soon as I lightly backed off the gas and all I could do was aim for a tree to avoid tumbling over a hill. I have collision with GAP protection, so the car is paid for and I started shopping as soon as the adjuster confirmed it was a total loss. I have since picked up a 1999 Camaro SS convertible with 43K miles.

Here are some pictures of the aftermath.

What you see: Not much deviation from original equipment - WS6 Speedline 17x9.5 rims with 275/17/40 Falken tires, slotted/drilled rotors with EBC green pads, Z28 muffler, shorty antenna.

The previous owner replaced the stock muffler with a Z28 exhast. It gurgles a little at low rpm. This car did not come with the Y87 package, but it does have 3.42 gears (GU6) and F41 suspension from the factory. To keep the thing from handling like a boat, I threw on Eibach swaybars (35mm front, 25mm rear) and a BMR shock tower brace. I also replaced the stock open differential with a zexel torsen positraction unit.

Whisper Lids don't have A.I.R. Pump hose holes I believe so you can put a K&N Air Pump Filter on the A.I.R. Pump end. Correct me if I'm wrong. All lids gain round 5rwhp. Anyway, nice Camaro, too bad you lost it, but now you moved on to a V8. Gottsa love 'em.
