WELCOME TO EVERYONE

This is my 1985 Toyota Cressida Limited Edition, one of the best cars built in the 80's. I bought it from a very old man that didn't drive it a lot for the last 5 years he owned it, that's why it is in flawless condition. Right now it has 138k miles on it and still drives like new.
I've spent a lot of hours trying to keep it as clean as possible and here you see the results. Last job done was changing the front oil seals and gaskets which took me about 15 hours total to complete.

Let's go to the interior

rodrigo_atl's 1985 Toyota Cressida The head unit, a Sony X-plod with 52wx4, great power and simple to use.
rodrigo_atl's 1985 Toyota Cressida The amp is a 600 watts Kenwood.
rodrigo_atl's 1985 Toyota Cressida Providing the punches is a box with two MTX 10 in. subwoofers
rodrigo_atl's 1985 Toyota Cressida The video source is a Legacy cd/dvd/mp3/vcd player and two 7.2 in Pyramid lcd monitors. As you can see this is my last addition and it is not finished yet since i have to locate this monitor.
rodrigo_atl's 1985 Toyota Cressida The monitor in the rear is exclusively for my baby, Sebastian, and it is the same type than up front.
rodrigo_atl's 1985 Toyota Cressida another shot to the interior , this time from the passenger side.

rodrigo_atl's 1985 Toyota Cressida For some reason i love the way chrome pedals look, so i put them on. Really easy to install.
rodrigo_atl's 1985 Toyota Cressida The sunroof controls, still woeks like new. I had to replace the controller when i just got the car.

Now the powerplant.

This is the 2.8 l inline six cylinders, a beautiful engine with a lot of power and relatively easy to maintain, since it is so strong.

As you can see i've tried to do my best trying to keep it clean, painting the valve covers is very easy and looks great. I painted the red lip on the timing belt cover while i was changing the oil seals.

This one from the front, the timing belt cover was also painted with low gloss engine enamel.

this one is from the intake side.

Ok people, i hope you enjoyed checking out my ride, as you can see it is not easy to keep a car clean between my work and my baby, but i try to do my best. i'm really proud of my car because i had never spent so much time in anything before, and people seems to like it because all i receive is cheers from poeple i know and don't know.
Finally i would like to thank my dad for helping me, he know everything about cars and he borrowed me his garage many times.
c ya'll later.

On page two you will find instructions on how to get codes from the super monitor system.

hi my ride is an '83 cressida. Im feeling 'vibrations' whenever i step on the gas pedal at medium to high speeds (35-65mph).I was thinking if it could be a transmission mount, or a driveshaft center bearing. The shaking goes away once i stop stepping on the accelerator.Pls help me.. thanks

6mg swap ok first you might want to put a new timing belt, water pump. things to swap I believe you just have to put your stock oil pan on I don't think you have to change your oil pick up.you can run your 6mge intake manifold but it does away with your EGR but if you have in spections that would be a problem.I believe all the harness clips hook up.the other thing is you can just swap your stock intake manifold that way all your sensors are there since the heads are the same it's a straght swap I'm not sure but you might have to bolt the egr hook up on the back of the head not sure one thing if your wanting to do away with the egr you can just run a bolt it that hole on the back.the new motor will need the crank pully because of the different crank i believe. that's it for now any other?? feel free to either emial me or just post on my page. me email is hisbloodfreedme@aol.com

Hye man thanks for the idea about fixing the ol tank. I was wondering if our cressidas have pausatraction or not.... also maybe you can scan some pages from the book or something on how to replace the harness on our car.. if you do that I will go to a pick-a-part and find something that will work! :-D thanks a lot man and good lukc with the cressy!
